When do you feed your horses in the morning? Before or after you work them? And if you feed them before, how long do you wait until you start working them?
The reason I ask is because when I worked on the track, we fed the horses after their work out. Now that I work with strickly jumpers... I am trying to get my day's training schedule in order. I would like to start working them at 5AM so I can take a break and send the kids off to school. I usually wait two hours after feeding a horse before working them but I really do not want to get up at 3. I have four horses that need to be worked and I would like to get them done before 2PM. (So I can do all the other work that needs to be done!)
So what do you, my fellow trainers do?

A friend of mine is really into penguins and I was hoping to find someone here in Phoenix that might have access to one so I could surprise her on her birthday to see one up close in person. Short of going to Sea World in San Diego, I might be out of luck but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I heard that I can save money by putting a rubber band around his nuts really tight. Then they will fall off naturally. He keeps bighting at the rubberband but it's on there real tight.

I am TERRIFIED of spiders, except for rose haired tarantulas. They're black, but under direct light/sun light, they look pink. They are so laid back and gentle.

(I just don't like it if they come near me to quickly hehhe)

He is molting something fierce. I have been pulling out big clumps of fur but it seems like it makes the flying fur worse. I have been thinking about putting him outside during the day to cut down on the fur in the house (he has a rabbit run) but it's cooler outside than inside. Will this mess up his molting or will he get too cold?
