During the night do fish like light over them...
light from somewhere else...
or no light at all and plain dark?

There is a whiteish looking residue on his beautiful pewter gray body. He also seems very sluggish. What is wrong?

I know with some horse supplements, such as horseshoer's secret, it can take several months to take effect. Does anyone know how long it would take for SimpliFly with LarvaStop Feed-Thru Fly Control to take effect? Also, if I gave my gelding the feed thru fly contol, would I still need to fly spray him?

I have a tank with 5 females and 1 male in that has plenty of hiding places and plants in. Last night I saw one of my females attacking my male (she was unprovoked) and wouldn't let go of his tail fin for ages. He got very stressed and hid and she chased after him and did it again!

I have since removed my male so he can recover but I have no idea why she did this. The fish shop said the 5:1 ratio would be fine but now i'm not so sure! Is this happening because I have too many females or should I have left him on his own in the first place! Ah!

Please help if you can! The options I can see are taking all/some of the the girls back to the shop, re-homing some/all of them with friends or risking putting the male back in. Keeping an extra tank isn't really an option for me as I already have enough!

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Oh, I have 4 females that look the same- so I'm unsure exactly which one it was!

I recently adopted a rescue cat, he's neutered, vaccinated, de flead and gorgeous! He has settled well and is very friendly.
I have recently started to let him go outside but he only returns after 14 hrs usual. He doesn't seem that hungry too after such a
long time out. Is this normal cat behaviour as I have never owned a cat before. Is it possible he's going elsewhere for his food? or filling up on mice. I am thinking of keeping him indoors just so we can see him once in a while! because he takes so long to come back any advice?
