The owners of the mine are saying that a earthquake caused the cave in, and that several aftershocks have slowed and stopped rescue efforts afterwards. Several scientists and seismologist are saying that the original earthquake which was picked up on the scales was not a earthqake at all, but vibrations picked up from the cave in of the mine. And the following aftershocks were just further collapses of the cave - and that there have only been a few of these at that.
Who is telling the truth here? Are the mine owners trying to "cover up" a safety failure? Would they go as far as to delay rescue efforts by lying about aftershocks, which did not happen?

I think it should be a law that you should not give kids caffeine. I know people who give their kids Mountain Dew in sippy cups and I think this is wrong. What do you think?

It's sad that 3500 or so US troops have been killed. Of course 53,000 US troops died in WW1; 291,000 died in WW2; 33,000 died in Korea; and 47,000 died in Vietnam. The world is a dangerous place. If you want to acheive anything, there are costs.

do you think she alive because i dont and it aint in a nasty way either because on internet i keep getting different storys and to be trueful the parents should get questioned by the police because all they have been doing is lien sayin the windows and patio locked then next minute it open but what i cant understand if she was kidnapped what about the other 2 children that was in room they would of took all 3 would you think not just one and the police have got a diff suspect eachtime

There is a question earlier this morning from a poster who says that they read Kate McCann saying at the weekend that she would not like to return to their home in the UK even if Madeleine is found as she has unhappy memories there.

I have tried searching the net from Sundays newspapers but am not that great at archiving.

Just interested to read it if it is true.

Okay, so recently I got this forwarded e-mail that really got me pretty freaked out. To all that have Microsoft Word of Word Processor, type in Q33 NY, all in capitals. This was the flight of the plane that hit the Twin Towers on 9/11. Then highlight it and change the font size to 48 and the font type to Wingdings. Has anyone recieved a familiar forwarded e-mail? The non-smokers want the fresh air
The freshest air is obviously outside
Therefore the sensible law should have banished the non-smokers to the outside so that they may enjoy that fresh air which they so earnestly desire, whilst the smokers enjoy the fug inside. Everybody is then happy
