Whats the full story of 9/11??

I was only in first grade at the time and had no clue what was going on. I did however find this video online and it made me curious on what really happened.

I was at home on 9/11, and so was my husband. He went to the library, and 'heard about' the Twin Towers crash there. He came in and said 'Turn on the TV. Someone crashed into the Twin Towers.' It was already 'done' and what we saw were 'reruns' in 'realtime' ... but we sat there and watched them over, and over, and over again. The Pentagon was also attacked 'by plane' that day, and another plane that was headed for someplace in Washington, DC was 'taken over by the Good Guys' and crashed into the 'country-side' and not into the Capitol Building.
This MAY go down as the 'largest terrorist act in the history of the world' ... and the world was 'changed forever' because of it. These days, you may think 'nothing' of the 'tiny stories' of people from everywhere around the world you see on the news ... but it was 9/11 that made that 'happen' even more than the 'greater technology' of the 'computer age.' The whole United States 'came together' for the first time since WWII, and we began to 'reach out to our neighbors' in a different way. These terrorists were Muslims, but while some people wanted to 'attack and destroy' ALL MUSLIMS, other people stood outside the Muslim places of worship to 'protect the innocent' inside. We now 'take a second look' when we see a back pack that seems 'unattended' or a 'bag' (paper or a suitcase ... ANY 'unattended container' is now 'suspect'. Some of us actually 'look' ... I lost my purse on the street one day, and it was returned to me with EVERYTHING INSIDE because the two ladies who found it saw what I had, figured I wanted it back, and 'turned it in' to the bank I had a 'debit card' from ... I lost it on Friday, and got it back on Monday morning.
These days we 'talk more freely' with 'strangers' ... and we are 'far more friendly' than before ... we may be 'generally more suspicious' but we also know that 'knowing who is around us, and making sure everything is okay' is something we ALL can and should do.
The 'link' you gave was one kid's 'final' for a history or current events class in school. It's a 'good start' but for you to be able to 'learn' all you can (and you should WANT to know) you'll have to do a 'search' on 9/11 and terrorism ... not just the 'events' of that horrible day, not just the other 'terrorist attacks' from around the world, but also the 'coming together' of the WHOLE WORLD as we all 'mourned' and vowed 'never to forget' ... I can't forget that day, any more than I can forget the day President Kennedy was assassinated, or the first time men walked on the moon ... I will always remember not just those 'events' but WHERE I was when I first 'saw them' and who was with me. So please 'explore' the Internet, but also ASK YOUR ELDERS what they 'remember' of 9/11. Also THINK about this 'war in Iraq' we are now fighting ... and think about the 'forgotten war' we fought in Afghanistan (the 'source' of the 9/11 attacks) ... and then 'look into your own heart' to decide where you 'stand' on things like 'terrorism' and 'war' ... and then PLEASE, go give a big kiss and hug to those you love, and tell them that you love them ... because on that terrible day, so many were 'lost forever' who left thinking it was 'just another day' ... they are 'gone forever' now, and those of us who do remember know that it is 'extremely important' to tell the people we love that we do love them EVERY DAY ... because who knows what 'events' may happen tomorrow.

19 men hijacked 4 planes and crashed 2 into the WTC and 1 into the Pentagon, the 4th the passengers fought back and the plane crashed in PA. Thats what happened, anybody who says different is a nutjob or just somebody looking for any excuse to blame Bush for anything.

You don't know what happened. wow. well hijackers hijacked a plane that they sent crashing into the world trade center. (two planes) then another hijacked plane was sent to go to the white house or pentagon and the passengers on the plane took control and the plane crashed in a open field. i would definitaly look into more though for all the details. i'm sure there's things i've missed or messed up on so definitaly search 9/11 on google or ask or w/e search engine. its a huge tragedy

a group of terrorists decided to hijack a series of planes and fly them into specific targets on US soil. two planes struck the world trade centers, one struck the pentagon, and a fourth planes was crashed in pennsylvania after the passengers fought back.

all in all, 2100 people died in the world trade centers, and about 100 more died in the crash in pennsylvania. none died at the pentagon because the hijackers flew it into an area that was under construction.

the terrorists were deemed to be from al quieda(sp?) which was a radical islamic group that controlled afganistan. it was headed by the infamous Osama Bin Laden.

so thats the best general overview i can give of it.

A bunch of idiots came over and attacked our Innocent MEN WOMEN and CHILDREN with our own planes.
2 into the twin towers
1 into the pentagon
and 1 was over taken by the people on the plan and was run into the ground in a remote area of PA.

That's one of the reasons why were fighting this war now.
But a guy named osama bin laden ordered the attack.
They have some weird religion where if they attack us and kill them selves in the process they will receive 1000 virgins or something.
It's really sad.
But they really teach their children that America is evil.

u can find alot of info on the web. i was in 6th grade so i was a little more aware than u were. the reasons for it are still very unclear to me, i just know that they didnt like certain things about our country and they chose to attack places that stood for things. like i think my teacher said world trade center was our symbol of fair trade with other nations and the pentagon was our symbol of democracy. so the terrorists wanted to target places that would show what they hated about us. it was a pretty scary day, i woke up and saw it all over the news.it was pretty hard for me to comprehend it, because it was just on tv. but its horrific to think that buildings where regular people like u are, could be attacked by planes and collapse!! i went to school and we had a lock down(because everyone was afraid of what would happen next), and the principal came in and talked to us to calm us down. damn, that day made me even more scared than i already was of flying lol. there was alot of heroism that day too, one plane was on its way to the white house and the passengers stopped it, and caused it to crash in its way there. i have a really cool pic from the place where the towers stood of a sign with info, i visited NY last year. if you want, i can share it with u.its pretty artsy.

The real answer is under G. Bush and Rudy Giuliani's watch 4 airliners were hi-jacked from their own backyard , and bombed the center of our defense (pentagon) which was orchestrated by a man living in a cave in a third world country.
