It was in Minnesota where the bridge collapsed. I think the bridge just collapsed because of MnDot's stupidity of not wanting to spend their money on fixing the bridge since 1990. Now it's going to cost $15 million to get all the metal, concrete, and cars out of the Mississippi River. Just what I want to spend my tax dollars on--something that could've been prevented.

so uh.. I see you dunno much about this story huh? (I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you know yr 50 states) The bridge was in Minneapolis.. that's in Minnesota not Missouri.

It was a true tragedy ... I mean in a place like that with so much freezing and a mighty river like that one you need to be on the ball if its your job to check these things...

again.. people need to stop putting drama where it doesn't belong.. there are no terrorists here... it was structure that caused the bridge to fall...

Blame cannot fall on MnDot's shoulders. Apparently there are hundreds of bridges in the US that have the same rating as the 35W bridge, "structurally deficient", and this is an acceptable rating, not given by MnDot I might add.
