I am not sure how many people are aware of this travesty, but do some research on it if you can. The FBI was after an imam whose name they found in Afghanistan. An informant used a pizza shop owner, Mohammed Mosharref Hossain to get at him and now the both of them are awaiting trial for sponsoring terrorism. Why? Look into it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I don't know about the imam. He might be guilty as hell, but Hossain was framed by the FBI. This is a fine example of the abuse of power and shows us how unjust some cops can be.

and what would happen in the event of a major war and some young but extremely popular/famous movie star was picked... would they have to go fight like the rest of us?

Imagine the press coverage if sometime down the road Matt Damon Jr. was killed in action.

Given that the mechanisms put into place by the Constitution of the United States of America

failed of their operation in the election of every President after George Washington,

can one truly say the Government, and by extension any administrative concern, even the very sovereignty of the nation that is called the United States of America,

is at all valid

in its own terms, let alone

the eyes of any other sovereign state upon the planet called Terra?

I have never heard if VT plans to tear down Norris Hall(?) and the other buildings where the horrible recent tragedy took place and build a memorial in place of the buildings, similar to what has been done in the past at other locations of mass tragedy.

Does anyone know what Virginia Tech plans to do with those sites?

Do you think R. Gere should have known not to act like a Westerner in a S. Asian country such as India where they don't even hold hands in public??

Isn't there a certain degree of knowledge that needs to be pertained about the custom and culture of a country before you visit there? I'm not saying I agree with the extreme reaction by Indians, but I would have expected some outrage at his behavior. I'm American born, and I still think it was inappropriate behavior for a married man to be kissing all over another woman.

(There are tourist guidebooks widely available. I'm sure Gere had one. All guides will till you that public displays of affection are highly shunned in S. Asian countries.)

Today is Tuesday, May 8, 2007 and this Brit question dates from 3 days ago. Here it is:

Do Americans have no manners? None of them are bowing or giving a curtsy to the Queen of England?

I invite Americans to look up this question and enter your comments.

My personal stand is that Americans fought and won two wars (the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812) against the British Empire to prove that we don't have to bow and curtsy to an out-dated royal figure.

these places that are in tornado alley should be built to a higher standard... a start would be to build them of reniforced concrete not wood. 95 percent of the town was leveled because of a f5 twister.. thank god that not many people died but more has to be done ..like shelters for the people.. real shelters made just for that reason. god bless them all.

i had to laugh today when I saw the news. There was G Bush being the stereo-typical american - making a gaffe and then winking cocky and arrogantly at the queen and saying something stupid. Then we have the queen being stereo-typically british - looking with distain and a stiff upper lip!! It made me crack up. im british and know for a fact that not all british people are like that at all, as im sure most american people arn't. No wonder everyone is stereotyped with people like these in charge. what do u think?

Hasnt anybody picked up on the fact that her parents have behaved in a very unusal way that is not deemed as being "normal".

What parents in their right mind would simply leave their children in an apartment in a foreign country that they are not familiar with, and walk of to a restaurant so that they can enjoy a hassle-free dinner.

Im sorry, but you just DONT leave your kids on your own, EVER.

Forget looking for a suspect. The police should be talking to her stupid thicko brained parents. I just cant believe what im seeing. On a final note, lets all pray for the safe return of little Madeleine, and hope that the police will find her.

There is so much starvation, disease, civil wars and extreme abuse of the general population in so many Africian Countries.
