Hurricane Katrina did not hit only New Orleans. In fact, it's worst spot weather-wise is east of the eye. Singing River, the boundary between southern Louisiana and southern Mississippi is where it came in, not New Orleans.

Please, can at least you that answer this stop asking about New Orleans only in your Katrina questions? True, the situation in New Orleans was sad and devastating, but so few people seem to think that New Orleans wasn't the only place hit. South Mississippi looks like it was hit by a bulldozer.

Hi I am working on an assignment for school. It is due Thursday, February 15, 2007 (tomorrow) and I have tried to find an article and have found one on the internet. i want to raise money for red nose day and was thinking about trying to get shops to donate something such as a bottle of champagne or a manicure which arent majorly expensive and then holding a raffle with a 1st,2nd and 3rd prize and get people to pay a minimum of £1.50 for a ticket... what do you think????

So it's this skydiver, apparently he's an instructor
Apparently he's been skydiving for a long time, he's really good at it. Anyways, so he makes a regular jump at 15 000 feet, he has a camera attached to his helmet. At 6000 feet he realizes his chute isn't working and chucks it. At 4000 feet he realizes his backup doesn't work....so he belives he's going to die...he doesn't even scream as the camera shows....

He falls straight to the earth, lands on a bush....survives! He was conscious the entire time, only has a broken leg.

His friend comes running to him, asking "are you okay"
His response "no"

lucky mofo right? Wow, that's amazing, just thought I'd share it...

Why is the media focusing on Anna Nicole Smith, instead of doing any investigative work on what is being preached in US mosques, the state of islam in America, whether islamic charities are funnelling money back to terror groups?

10 years from now, I seriously doubt whether the paternity of the kid will affect my life - but al qaeda certainly will. Why isn't the media - especially the conservative media - reporting on anything about this?

(Yeah, I saw the CNN report and the Glenn Beck thing. They were good. We need more).

Recently a Muslim man went into a Utah mall that was only 3 miles from a Mosque and began shooting and killing people. It is very possible that he was killing people because he was indoctrinated to do so. The media is not asking questions. In fact, they have reported his name to be "Soloman" when it is actually "Sullieman". Is it more politically correct to imply that he is Jewish rather than Islamic? Why aren't they telling us the truth?

I was just curious, what were you doing when the happend? Did anyone in your family get killed. If so, i am so sorry. What i was doing is i woke up at 9 o clock, hunting for the remote. when i found it, i saw it on they news, and i didn't sleep that night, feeling so scared and so lucky no one in my family or i was hurt.
