Why is the media focusing on Anna Nicole Smith, instead of doing any investigative work on what is being preached in US mosques, the state of islam in America, whether islamic charities are funnelling money back to terror groups?
10 years from now, I seriously doubt whether the paternity of the kid will affect my life - but al qaeda certainly will. Why isn't the media - especially the conservative media - reporting on anything about this?
(Yeah, I saw the CNN report and the Glenn Beck thing. They were good. We need more).

Because the liberals in this country care more about some taudry whore than what really matters. They like to say the right uses scare tactics to get people to vote for them, the left wing media likes put our focus on who slept with this no talent whore than what really matters, because of they focused on what really matters we would not have people like Hillary and Obama with any chance to win the presidency. There are tons of hookers down town why don't we focus on them? Anna Nicole slept with so many people I am starting to wonder if I could be the father and not remember.

Glenn Beck is very good. The mentality of a majority of the people who pay attention to the media unfortunately; are the like mentality to those who slow down to gawk at a traffic accident, not to stop and help....but to feed some sensationalistic need.
This is the same mentality that young men and women are unable to live up to the tallest, thinnest cutest....whatever. More people need to be aware of the real world not "entertainment" journalism. It has become a vicious circle.
I certainly hope that the paternity of that poor motherless baby will not be in the news for much longer, but with all of the potential "DNA donors" who knows.
How sad that there are uncounted numbers of people dying and children being left motherless and fatherless because of war and terrorism and the like. Where are the people who are going to step forward and claim these children as their own????
I do not remember this type of attention being paid to many people constantly when I was younger. Did we have more real heroes to look up to then???? I don't know, it is pretty sad.

I would also like to see stories about how Muslims are mis-treated in America by racist and xenophobic Americans who think all Arabs are terrorists.

What happened to Rep. Keith Ellison was a great example of the intolerance that many Americans have for Muslims. It was in the news recently, look it up.

People in general don't really care about Anna Nicole Smith. They think they care because it is what they see on the news. It is on the news, therefore it is important, ergo we care. It won't be anywhere near as much as 10 years from now we will be saying 'Anna Nicole who ?' - this is because it is sensationalism and not news. People would care about the news if they actually got to see it. Sad fact is that those who are irresponsible for showing the news play it alongside sensationalistic rubbish, so we have a twisted idea about what the news really is.
Take away the fluffy crap and give us the news, please.

Why does the media focus on any celebrity instead of important issues? because most people could care less about important issues and would rather see who is sleeping with who, who died or what drugs they are doing this week. It's retarded but that's what people would rather hear about. I also think people are less interested in current events because ignorance is bliss, if they don't know whats going on they can't be frightened by it or have to worry.

Because drama sells papers and she was the drama Queen. When I first heard about her death I was socked, but as the days goes on come on now I am so sick of hearing about her. I don't care who the daddy's father is. I don't know em and I doubt I ever will or care to know em.
