I have been following the news very closely for many years. It seems there is a direct correlation between reporting and violence. Here are two examples:
1) There is a shooting in a school and it is reported in the news. Soon after, there are more shootings in schools.
2) A terrible world event happens that is reported. Soon after, there are hate crimes committed to the ethnic group tied to the story.

Should news organizations be held accountable? At times, it feels like the situation that is reported leads to copy-cat crimes and violence. Do news agencies put ideas in people's heads? What is the responsibility of the news organizations?

**I recognize freedom of reporting and am not saying news organizations are bad or should be shut down.

Many news organizations either mostly side with Democrats or Republicans, or Liberals, or Conservatives, or Socialists, or Communists, or Libertarians, or Israel, or Lebanon, or China, or North Korea, or blacks, or whites, or monkeys, or dolphins .. you get the idea.

Is it possible most of us have to subscribe to two or more papers, flip between CNN and FOX news, or listen to different newscasts ... just to get BOTH sides of the story?

What news organization is least biased, and has the most balanced coverage? Or who is the worst offender here?

Of all places the comic would show up I would never have thought it would come up in a NYC newspaper... looks like the NY Post wants to shrink it's daily production numbers... I'm sure subscribers will cancel after seeing that comic... anyone in their right mind wouldn't read their paper after seeing how low their standards are with that comic.
