You've got to be more specific. What is the interview about? and how old is older? 50s, 60s, 70s?

First of all, you talk about interviewing an older person but you haven't said the purpose of the interview of how much older the person is than you.
But in general I'd ask things such as ...
Have you always lived in the same community? If so, how have things changed since you grew up there?
Where were you/what were you doing during major historical events, like the assassination of President Kennedy.
Have you ever seen the country as politically divided as it is today? How would you compare GW Bush to other presidents during your life time?
If speaking to a female, you can ask how did you manage to live in a man's world? What do you think of women today and their attitudes?

If you're interviewing someone for a job, you are limited to what kinds of questions you can ask. So there really isn't a need to ask different types of questions of an older person than you would a younger person

That depends on what you are interviewing them for. Is it supposed to be about their life in general? Is it for a specific class? Personal interest? Just some general questions might include:
What was the price of gas when you were young?
How old were you when you first saw a television?
Did you have a pet/pets?
Who was president when you were a teenager?
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
What was it like in your neighborhood?
What was your favorite meal your mom would make?

oh there were so many good things to ask to older person. . older persons are definitely wants a sincere straight to the point question, with matching politeness. there were only four things to approach them, it also works from any age range. first- ask the simpliest question.,secondly-success, third-straight to the point with politeness and fourth-sincerity coming from your heart. how it may works? as i said the first steps, simpliest question such as asking..her/his birthplace..,secondly-successfull, if she/he response and tell you his/her age..third-straight to the point with politeness..his ups and downs, commitment, and etc.and fourth-sencerity this is the most important part, you will be able to easily gain the trust, and comfortably winning the heart of the said person. always remember the four letters- S
S-simple
S-success
S-straight
S-sencerity---these four letters are part of interviews.
if it works...your ideas or anything in your mind comes up without
any effort and you will notice the person whom you interview seems knew each other for years. now you can prove to yourself that you have charm and easy to get along with any kind and level of person.

Ask them about what it was like to be a teenager or how it is different for them now. Old people are very interesting to talk to. Things have really changed since they were young.

The same ones you ask for anybody.
Where did you grow up?
What did you do?
Once they start talking just sit there and listen.
