A great may of us are aware of this insidious current that is sweeping our country; is it too late to open the mental eyes of our countrymen to the dangers of believing all the asinine stufff that passes for enlightenment these days?

All I hear is complaining. They bring up things that happened in the past that cannot be changed. I never hear anything about what we need to do to defeat the enemy in Iraq.

The conservative plan is to shut off the border to Iran and Syria. Then pummel and HOLD the bad areas in the Sunni Triangle. As we are doing this, continue to teach the Iraqi people to fend for themselves. Within 12 months, they should be able to take control of all areas, along the way more and more areas they will be the primary and the US as backup.

I want specifics from all you critics. I gave mine.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070202/ap_on_fe_st/vigilante_farmer;_ylt=AhPWTVNcArFL46E41YoeJGwDW7oF;_ylu=X3oDMTBhZDJjOXUyBHNlYwNtdm5ld3M-

A farmer sees someone tresspassing and stealing on his neighbors property. He grabs a gun and chases after them, utlimately chasing him down in his car.

He catches the robbers (who happen to have a 3 year old in teh car) and holds them at gunpoint until police arrive.

Who is served or protected in society by charging a man helping to protect his neighbor? Granted, I found his actions to be extreme, but where were the police? Evidently he caught the criminals before the police did.

I also love that there is no mention about the thieves being charged with endangering the life of a child by getting into a car chase.

So is the actions of this farmer the actions of a vigilante or a peson doing their civic duty to stop crime in the absence of police?

Afterall, what if the thieves' intent was home invasion, not gas?

so is it OK to be Islamophobic if your a Muslim yourself and you discover that evil Islamists aka Islamo-fascists are planning to Kidnap you, submit you to Torture and then Murder you by cutting your head off, while videoing the entire thing? Simply because you chose to support your country by serving in its Armed Forces . 25 British Servicemen from muslim backgrounds are currently in police protective custody to keep them from the attentions of Terrorist Gangsters claiming to share their religion. What do Muslims in general, and British Muslims in particular make of this? Do they think it is wrong? What needs to be done to counter this threat.

I don't like the idea of using something to enrich a region of the world that really does like us. Plus our own domestic supplier are having too much fun gouging Americans. I think Americans biggest strenght comes from the ability to invent. Should we know start putting to energy to inventing a new energy source?

Miss D. Lloyd (CBB) has been questioned by police for alleged racial comments, In theory, if the police bring charges of 'incitement to racial hatred' - she could get a maximum seven-year jail term. This is not a question about the TV programme, but about how far down the road this country has gone to totalitarianism? Just imagine in the very near future, not only cameras watching everything we do (in the name of crime prevention!), but super-sensory microphones listening to everything we say? (Please think about the question before going on about 'the 3 bitches', because that's not my point)

I noticed a article on yahoo news about Police actually questioning the big brother contestants and 'in theory' bringing about charges of incitement of racial hatred. What is happening to this country, who are the 40,000 people that complained about racism. Speak up anyone who agrees this nonsense as racism. Most of what the contestants said was through ignorance and some of it was only border line racist. When will people start phoning the police when they hear 2 guys in a pub saying they dont like x, y or z. Get a grip you losers!!!!!

Here in the UK on a daily basis we hear on the news about yet another sex crime committed and, whilst I agree that these crimes are despicable I also feel that we are becomming so obsessed with this type of crime other serious crime is not getting nearly enough publicity.
There is a steady increase in crimes on our estates such as,people being attacked in their own homes, yobs frightening people going about their everyday business, arson attacks and street robberies.
Does the media not realise that all crime has victims and these people need help and support as well.
What are your views on this and do you think other crimes should be given the intense media pressure that sex offenders get which,I to a certain point, agree with

In a Feb. 1 AP story by Mike Stobbe, carried on Yahoo news, U.S. Health and Human Services announced "plans" for fighting the bird flu. Do you think this is a plan or another "Katrina" response?

The "plan" gives vacine producing companies lawsuit protection. So far only 22 million shots (which may not work) will be available for 300 million people. As the bird flu progresses they will cut back on school attendance and other public gatherings.

This story also indicates that a workable vaccine will probably not be produced until months into an epidemic. Is this a plan that is acceptable to your Congressman?

This looks more like keeping up business as usual; while cutting back in stages for what the military might call acceptable losses. I don't call this a plan, would you?
