All I hear is complaining. They bring up things that happened in the past that cannot be changed. I never hear anything about what we need to do to defeat the enemy in Iraq.

The conservative plan is to shut off the border to Iran and Syria. Then pummel and HOLD the bad areas in the Sunni Triangle. As we are doing this, continue to teach the Iraqi people to fend for themselves. Within 12 months, they should be able to take control of all areas, along the way more and more areas they will be the primary and the US as backup.

I want specifics from all you critics. I gave mine.

For all of those who blame Republicans for causing this, perhaps you should watch how Hillary Clinton made the same case that we made

To the person who asked has it ever been proven the enemy is in Iraq?

Who is killing our people? Santa Clause?

How about the lefties answer the question?

Not the war in unwinable or we should not be there. Those are not answers.

They don't have a plan they just want to point out all the stuff that is "Not Working". That is always their method...discredit and point fingers and tell the people how much better it will be under the Democrats, and basically tell us everything the people want to hear. But you know, I don't ever recall them really giving us any "real" details on their plans or even answering questions with a yes or no.

There is no exit plan for Iraq. We will be there in one way or another for at least 20 years if not longer. The Democrats know this, but they have to act as though we should bring the troops home. Of course, this will cause international relationships to collapse and will be the cause for the start of World War III. As long as Americans are there, WW III, will not happen. As far as Iraqi people defending themselves, who do you mean the Shias or the Sunnis? I would assume you mean the Shias. If you do, that is only going to rile up the Sunnis in Iraq and countries west of Iraq. You have to remember 85% of Muslims are Sunnis. America is going to have to please the Sunnis as well as the Shias, which is probably an impossible tasks. In other words, we are going to be in Iraq for a long time.

You are right, the past cannot be changed. The Bush Administration got us into a mess that we had no business getting involved in. Now that things have gone to hell in a hand basket over there, the conservatives response to criticism is always "what would you do to win the war and get us out of this mess"?, seemingly forgetting that it was the neo-cons that got us into it in the first place.
My question to you is just who is "the enemy in Iraq"?...the Sunnis?...the Shiites? What we have there now is Iraqis killing Iraqis and Americans. What you will have if we leave is Iraqis killing Iraqis...but not Americans.
There is no "winning" this ill-conceived war.

Their plan is to run, put their heads back up their arses and find a happy place. Let's just give all the radicals a hug and hope it away.
