As we all know, or should know, America went to war with Iraq. I think we can all agree that after 9/11, most of us Americans were pro-war. Flags were flying high, "God Bless America" was being played every 2 minutes on every radio station, and people wanted to avenge the deaths of the 3,000 people that were killed from the events of 9/11.

Now, in 2007, President Bush is being critized for his decision to invade Iraq. Why? What exactly went wrong between the announce of the war and now, and why do people blame the problem in Iraq solely on President Bush?

Did the plan not work out? That's what it sounds like to me. I'm not a specialist on this matter, but I have a feeling that the war wasn't suppose to last this long. Also, 3000+ troops weren't suppose to die. But it did and they did....why?

Why do Republican lawmakers keep talking about how the troops in Iraq can't win the war in Iraq if their funding is cut? I want the Congress to talk about what constitutes a "win" in the war. Let's see we've lost about 3200 troops to how many for the enemy... Some people would contend we've lost already by losing this many troops and let's not forget the countless others that have been injured. And then let's not forget the War Crimes that have been committed or the sectarian violence we can't seem to get a grip on. Is continued funding really going to help us "win"?

The final era of the republican power in congress is coming to a close, and accepting the fact that the people have spoken we need to get out of Iraq, and let other countries fight people that don't understand what freedom is all about. All the abuse with contracting monies to rebuild Iraq, I believe that money belongs here in our country and support those that help us. Victory comes when there is no more wars, and when you have a purpose, and we will be ready financially and military ready.

It Seems that Freedom of SPEECH is not a two way street, how come its ok to bash Bush but when people bash the Dixie Chicks, its not Politically correct.....When people stop buying their albums or attending their concerts, its considered Black listed instead of the people fundamentals right to boycott. Why does the Dixie Chicks step up for the rights of people to bash BUSH but try to step on those that BASH them. Are they two faced? Did they earn the Grammy's? WHY, WHY, WHY.....

I would like to know the general concensus among people about the political claim that Iran is our enemy and that we must take military action against a country which we can not prove has done anything more than defend its borders, very much like we would do in America.

In my Yahoo news, I have a story about a US agent getting 5 years in prison for smuggling immigrants into the country (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070215/us_nm/usa_crime_immigration_dc_1) and directly under it is a story about the ohio couple only getting 2 years for torturing their children (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070215/us_nm/children_cages_dc_1). Please explain the incongruity of this.

No matter if you are for the war or against it, we all know that our actions have un-corked all the extreme violence in Iraq. Given that fact, why do we only allow 7,000 Iraqis to come to the US each year? Shouldn't we allow as many who want to to move here to make amends for the de-stabilization of their country? They are not going to be like South American laborers-most Iraqis are intelligent, educated people with job skills. If they want to come here (and bear in mind that none of the 9/11 perpetrators were Iraqi) shouldn't they be allowed?

We rightfully criticize palestinians when they are wrong but never criticize Israel when they are wrong (settlers in the West bank).

Ok, I've asked 5 times and all the liberals spout off is how Bush got us in this mess and not how to resolve the problem realistically. The congress is doing the same thing. I want our troops out, ASAP, but then what?? The terrorists can get to us through the Mexican border or Canadian for that matter. My question is how do we get the terrorists to lighten up and stop attacking us or is too late and we just keep on fighting til milliions are dead...Not trying to be partisan, just want to hear realistic possibilities.

Recent polls have found the UK to not offer anything positive to our children and people alike - what is this saying to the rest of the world. We have been open about it and I find it all very embarrassing. Plus I have not seen Mr Blair speak out about these figures. We have a few programmes on TV discussing these issues but where is the action to a quick improvement coming from.
