Does anyone know the name of the person who is featured on Yahoo home page today (Feb. 16, 2007) with a background of 2 big pigs (one red & the other black) with the subject heading: What the pig predicts (Will the Chinese New Year bring luck or disaster)? Please give me more details of him now (e.g. his profession) if you know him.

He looks very like a person whom I met in Hong Kong 17 years ago. He was born in the year of pig.

Does anyone also know where was the picture taken? Please give me more details if you know (e.g the exact place, not just a country or a city's name).

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A lot of people say that the wars in Afganistan and Iraq (and perhaps soon Iran) are good because it keeps the terrorists "over there". And if we pull out - these people say - we'll have to fight them here at home.

Does this argument have any merit or validity?

Isn't it inevitable that we'll have to fight terrorism here anyway. And, in fact, that making war against other countrries might only increase the chances of terrorist attacks at home?

What do you think?

I think it's because they hate freedom. It's as simple as that.

They see someone with rights and it makes them furious.

If we weren't a free country, they wouldn't be attacking us.

9/11 never would have happened if the U.S. were a dictatorship.

So, why do they hate freedom so much? Why does freedom make them want to kill?

...American liberals/dems want to remove American troops from Iraq, pronto. They are making moves to defund the effort. Are liberals considering the many repercussions of surrendering to the terrorist insurgents in Iraq? Please explain your position whatever it may be. Thanks...and if you are a liberal, please answer the question I posted. I`m sure you were getting ready to go off on a tangent of some sort...Thanks again !

I think that they are smart enough to know that virtually all Americans are supportive of them notwithstanding the wisdom (or lack thereof) of the mission. It is almost ludricous how each side is so desperate to be painted as the supportive side. In 20 years, today's debate over who really supports the troops will look like lowbrow comedy. Don't you think?

Stop treating the troops like children. They're mature enough not to be told who's supportive and who's not.

how do we know these iraqi's are not undercover terrorists or have intent to harm us when they are allowed us citizenship? are there background checks being done or is it just a free ride to the states for 7k terrorists? I have nothing against Iraqis who are legitimately trying to move to a new country to start a new life but how do we know we are not endangering our citizens who pay taxes for a false sense of security?

What are things that are very previlant in the public eye right now that people are overly worried about. For example, in the 70's people thought we would run out of food by 1998, and said that population control was the answer, now the nations that implimented population control are suffering worse than all the rest. what are some moder equivelents?
