I think that they are smart enough to know that virtually all Americans are supportive of them notwithstanding the wisdom (or lack thereof) of the mission. It is almost ludricous how each side is so desperate to be painted as the supportive side. In 20 years, today's debate over who really supports the troops will look like lowbrow comedy. Don't you think?
Stop treating the troops like children. They're mature enough not to be told who's supportive and who's not.

I am sure they are skeptical and ,some times unsure.I have been there I know.They know that the people who mean the most to them care.That is all that matters anyway.The politicians really only care at voting time,that is obvious.

Absolutely, I think all the whining and Democratic discontent has had a negative effect on the troop's morale.
The far left liberals have been stirring up controversy over the war in Iraq since the beginning...they never have and never will show any bi-party solidarity toward supporting the troops toward their goal of winning this war...they want to pull out "now...they want to cut military spending in Iraq...how do you think the troops feel when they hear that?
This confuses our troops and they feel they do not have 100% of the support from the people of America.

I hope they are only tired of hearing about who supports them and who doesn't. I hope they are not thinking that we don't appreciate them. Just remember that the troops are serving our country and are going where they are told to go. Whether or not you support the war in Iraq, you should be supporting the troops.

The ones in country have plenty of other things to worry about...and I think you are mistaken... war is almost never funny, especially for those who fought in it. Have you heard any Viet Nam jokes lately? See what I mean?
