narrow minded, uneducated, struck with tunnel vision unable to see the big picture....do I need to say more?
We need out, we are not welcomed there, but a working plan has to be set in order first!

What WAS the mission?
What IS the mission?
How do you define "winning"?
Which consequences, and how do they compare to the real and current consequences?
I'm waiting for the draft that takes in all men and women between the ages of 18 and 35, no exceptions. Let's see then how many people are in favor of "victory".
Do you have even the remotest idea of what it's like to be on a constant cycle of deployment and training to be re-deployed?
Put your money where your mouth is - give up an additional 20%-40% of your income and go over to Iraq carrying a gun. Then I'll know you're serious.

Maybe it's the concept of "winning" the mission that so many disbelieve, or have a problem with.
That's what happened in Viet Nam. It was poorly managed and fought war, that killed thousands of my young generation, only to high tail it outta there, defeated, and to leave that country to decipher it's own plight. Now people go to Nam for vacations.
I have many friends who have come back from Iraq and Afghanistan, saying that whatever changes they have managed, are only temporary, unless their governments stand up and take over the responsibility of moving them into democracy. Sadly, all those body bags that have come home are permanent.

What do you mean by the word "won"?
The mission was doomed from the get go as there was no real need to go to war. There were no weapons of mass destruction.
Granted Saddam Hussein was a horrific dictator but in his own sick way he contained the hatreds in IRAQ which GW has released.
Now that the genie is out of the bottle how do we get him back?
I feel bad for the innocent IRAQUIS people who have seen their once marvelous country trashed to become a third world country.

Because of the "hell no , we won't go mantra " liberals have been getting from their leaders on the radical left since Vietnam-and which their democrat Senators still use as their battle cry , on the war against the war on terror . Didn't disarmament pacts only encourage Hitler in his plan to take over the world ? The Clinton White House had their way - and did nothing after our nation was attacked ; and refused capture of Osama bin Laden-and then along comes 9/11 . Liberals never have a plan ; but they hate when Bush has the answer.

I know why. First, it is a very expensive endeavor which puts the U.S. deeply in debt. Second, we have our own war in our country which we should fight and win before we decide to solve other country's problem. To mention a few of our own wars: war against illegal immigrants, war against poverty and disease, war against corruption and so forth and so on. The huge amount of money that our government has been spending in Iraq could have been allocated for the education of American children, health benefits of all Americans, both young and old, strengthening our borders and security, increasing the salaries of military men from top to bottom and for public service in general.

Being in the army and "ACTUALLY" being over there , the mission that is obtainable has been comepleted. Finding bin laden thats a totally diffrent subjuect. Why don't you enlist and try driving in a vehicle and have a road side bomb flip you then you can ask that ridiculous ?
