"After the US invasion of Iraq, Saddam was captured by U.S. forces on December 13, 2003. On November 5, 2006, he was convicted of crimes against humanity by the Iraq Special Tribunal and was sentenced to death by hanging.[3]"

i have a few questions though. was the tribunal court for saddam under Iraqui Law? i know this man has done alot of crimes against humanity.. but is it relly right to HANG him? that would cause him pain. no one in the face of teh planet should be subjected to any feeling of pain. i know he himself has caused a lot of peopel to feel pain but is it right to hang him and send a message to teh world that justice to kill someone back?

dont get me wrong.. i HATE SADDAM! but in truth and principle is it right for this man to be hanged? why not just use teh sleeper?

any feedback?

...that President Bush's neocon apologists and spin Agents will shortly begin to tear apart/water down and distort and ignore the late President Ford's words and opinions on the subject of Bush and the Iraq war, perhaps even try to go as far as paint Ford as some kind of a Liberal pawn?

Ford's statements about Bush and the Iraq war and the Nation's direction as World leader were pretty powerful stuff, and one helluva last word.

So, do you predict distortion of Ford's words to follow shortly? Perhaps a nice George Will column to start things off?

Destroy our Economy by draining our treasury, us fighting two wars, increasing our cost of fuel, making us defend our infrastructure, anything that increases our cost of living, doing business, and cost of living, putting our country in increasingly higher debt.

So terrorists just want to keep us fighting. They don't really want us to win, or lose, just drain our resources.

After all, isn't that how we defeated the Old Soviet Union, making the Cold War and Nuclear weapons too expensive to continue on?

So we are trying to win a Military victory, But the bad guys just want to make it very expensive for us.

How are they doing?

-k- you guys, there's all this talk about the WTC possibly being brought down by bombs planted inside the towers, and everybody (including some academics) who have been making these accusations automatically point the finger at our government.

But has it crossed anybody's mind that terrorists (disguised possibly as maintenance technicians) could have planted bombs inside the towers? After all, they did that very thing in 1993 to the north tower..

What are your thoughts?

Recently, the History Channel showed a documentary based ON THE LIFE AND TRIALS OF SADDAMS HUSSEIN'"s two sons. They did some pretty immoral things, and I'm not talking about religion, I mean immoral towards basic human rights. And Until today I never realized why we hunted them down. My question today is, "Why or haow did someone like his eldest son and Saddam Hussein himself get a position in power, in this day and age? What percentage of the world's countries is still ruled by people like this?

Its about time someone with psychic abilities leads this country. A man with his power is certainly an asset as he can communicate with the dead…possibly w/ the suicide bombers to get more insight as to why they are doing it

On 29th December 2006 the UK [one third the size of Texas] will repay a final installment of £42.4 million to the United States for a loan after the last World War to rebuild our country.

When Tony Blair agreed to support the USA in the Afghanistan and Iraq invasion, now allegedly, to create a better life for the people, why didn't he ask George Bush 'What's in it for us?'

The daily cost to this tiny country is huge and our troops are beginning to feel the pinch personally and in equipment supplies as are the people of the UK who are constantly being presented with more amd more cuts in government services [which we have all paid for in compulsory contributions during our working lives - National Health and Pensions Insurance + tax on our hard earned pay.

Tony Blair was spineless in not setting a condition that 'OK I'll support you, but cancel the balance of the outstanding war loans because that's peanuts in comparison with the cost of joining you in invading two countries!

I find it interesting that Prime minister Tony Blair was on a Boeing 747 when his country is one of them most powerful in the world. Plus, Great Britain is at war, why would he be on a commerical jet. I am sure his mililtary could find him a plane to fly on, just like our heads of state do when they leave the country.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Many people do not sympathise with how Palestinians and other Islamist movements are fighting their cause: blowing themselves up and killing innocent lives. But what means are these people supposed to use when they are not allowed to build their own weapons unlike other more powerful states? The powerful states have killed many innocent people during colonisation...aren't these acts of terrorism as well? Just because these powerful states no longer need to employ terroristic methods for claiming territory for themselves what gives them the right to brand similar methods as terrorism when other nations use them now?

Are there Jewish people who think it's wrong to occupy present-day Israel? The existence of present-day Israel is at the core of the world's fears today. It affects EVERYONE and is threatening to put all nations, even those who are not directly involved in this quarrel. Why did Israel have to be a Jewish state instead of a multi-faith, multi-cultural territory where Jews and Muslims can live side by side on a land they consider Holy? Why can't the Jews simply share that land with Muslims and vise-versa under a Jewish-Islamic government for the sake of the safety of all this world instead of provoking all involved states to build up nuclear weapons as a means of defense and retaliation? Surely there are Jewish people who don't assert their sole ownership of that territory, why do we not hear them speak up?

KATY, TEXAS - While Kamel Fotouh makes plans to build a mosque on 11 acres of pasture here, neighbor Craig A. Baker is making plans of his own - plans to hold pig races.

Baker figures he'll need a tent, souvenirs and a track for the pigs to race on, all in full view of the Muslims next door, for whom pigs are forbidden as food.

As a bonus, Baker will host the competition on Friday - a Muslim holy day.

This is not meant as a slur on Islam, Baker said. It's a dispute between two neighbors. "A lot of people are making this into a racist situation, a redneck guy from Texas saying 'We're going to put on pig races,' " he said. "But I'm standing up for property rights."

hey, hear me out. im a 16 year old boy form malaysia and a proud muslim. ive been a member for about a month, and theres sometin in my chest i really need to let out.

truly, im sad. reading other users insulting and mocking my religion everywhere they could possibly write. the fact that people constantly associate Islam with violence and hostility, stereotyping muslims with terrorism, manipulating facts and teachings of the quran, stating that the quran teaches hatred and violence towards others. contless it seems......

my question here is, is it fair? fair to me and other muslims? just coz a few bad apples in the muslim society people are branding Islam the disease of malevolance, muslims as psycophantic insanely malicious crazy terroist!!?

but ill tell u what irritates me the most, the fact that people giving false statements bout the teaching of the quran, twisting & turning facts. and dont deny all this. coz its true and its happening every second of the day. give opinions plz..
