On 29th December 2006 the UK [one third the size of Texas] will repay a final installment of £42.4 million to the United States for a loan after the last World War to rebuild our country.

When Tony Blair agreed to support the USA in the Afghanistan and Iraq invasion, now allegedly, to create a better life for the people, why didn't he ask George Bush 'What's in it for us?'

The daily cost to this tiny country is huge and our troops are beginning to feel the pinch personally and in equipment supplies as are the people of the UK who are constantly being presented with more amd more cuts in government services [which we have all paid for in compulsory contributions during our working lives - National Health and Pensions Insurance + tax on our hard earned pay.

Tony Blair was spineless in not setting a condition that 'OK I'll support you, but cancel the balance of the outstanding war loans because that's peanuts in comparison with the cost of joining you in invading two countries!

£42.2 million is peanuts in comparison to input from the Marshall Plan. If the Americans hadn't bled us dry in 1940 and 1941 until Lend Lease kicked in and later Pearl Harbour, we could have reconstructed ourselves, but the Americans almost bankrupted the country demanding bullion for war supplies until they joined the war. We had less than £42 million left at that point, and we had been one of the richest european nations. We didn't demand Francee, Poland etc and all the allies pay our debts to liberate them. However, that was then and this is now.

We are the worlds only "Superpower". There are allot of people who dislike America because of this. To be this "Superpower" we need the backing of our most trusted partner who will back us up Politically. If we don't have this back up, then our enemies would consider us as weak and would try to take our title and our country as history has shown. Our way of life comes with a price. Not just money but with blood. We must let the world know that we are not alone in the goal of Democracy around the world. Personally I like to be able to do what I want to have a better life then someone telling me what my country will do.

unfortunately the uk isnt as blameless as you would think, for a start off we are one of five major countries that supply the world with weopons and neater ways of killing people and the sad truth is the same five countries are also permanent members of the UN , where finance is concerned countries dont actually exist. A simple way of changing our countries policies would be to introduce national conscription to all adults over the age of 18 that way not only would it eliminate youth crime which is increasing at an incredible rate but also boost the uks army which would in an effect stop us from relying on other countries as well as supporting them in wars which are not going anywhere such as vietnam or iraq ( america is quite good at getting itself into wars but not very good at walking away from them once it is over). death and misery makes money pure and simple and human nature is if we cannot see it happening with our own eyes we do not feel the true impact of it. war is a big business and our country makes money from it. regardless of who takes control politically they are just puppets and the ones who pull the strings just dont exist.

Blair needs the support of the USA not the other way round. Without the USA Blair would be an international nobody. he is now a "somebody" but known to be a liar and coward.

It's to do with truth and honour. The US would have gone it alone if we had not sided with them.
