I got an email saying that the troops requested Starbucks coffee and they were turned down. The troops were sent a letter saying that while Starbucks appreciates the support from the troops, they do not support the war and they would not send them the coffee. I have chosen not to support Starbucks anymore if that's how they are going to treat our troops.

This is a total myth. I work for the Marine Corps and it's kind of a rediculous rumor when most Marine Corps Exchanges will have a Starbucks in their food courts soon if not already. If Starbucks didn't support the military they certainly would not enter into a government contract (which they bid on and the lowest bidder wins)earning them less money than what they could on the outside. I'm not sure how this got started, but it is definitely not true.

i worry about who teaches some of you kids, you seem to think that hating war = hating soldiers. That doesn't make any sense.

Want to talk about who is screwing the soldiers, ask about Halliburton charging them forty-five dollars for a six-pack of coke. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/movies/reviews/4146248.html

Anyway the Starbucks not sending coffee to soldiers is a lie spread by people who want us to stay in war forever. It's already being answered on yahoo answers: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnHubgiTSwBPMGf.Nr9OwWkjzKIX?qid=20061226151115AAhuwv8
