Terrorists who murder the innocent? Or overly (sexually) indulgent Westerners? And why?
I'm curious about opinions of others on this topic. (thanks!)

Can we pull out?

NOT should we... but CAN we?

I mean, if we really were to pull out right now, leaving it up to whatever leadership is there, what will happen to iraq?

I really think the question is no longer whether we should be there or not, or if we should or shouldnt, but truely, if we physically and politically can?

Your thoughts?

Please. No comments on GW Bush. Just on the ability to pull out.

Lets face it, it is practically a Civil War. Yet, Bush denys it. What would you call the situation in Iraq? A Civil War? What?

Andy Borowitz' latest column:
>Breaking News

>Bush: US Committed to Finding New Synonyms for Civil War

>Launches Operation Noble Euphemism

>President George W. Bush said today that he would not allow a civil war in
>Iraq to erupt on his watch, and said that in order to prevent that from
>happening the United States would aggressively search for new synonyms for
>the phrase "civil war."
>
>In order to seek out the most sanitized alternatives to that phrase, the
>president announced that he was launching an ambitious new mission called
>Operation Noble Euphemism.
>
>Showing his trademark steely resolve, Mr. Bush told reporters at the White
>House that the US was prepared to hunt down every last thesaurus on Earth
>and would not quit until the job was done.
>
>As if to demonstrate the high priority he was placing on finding new >synonyms,
>Mr. Bush said that the government would spend $12 billion, most of which
>had been previously earmarked to find Osama

It's been all over the ******* television these last 3 weeks, politicians doing nothing but exaggerating eachother's weaknesses, or using their well-experimented political propaganda to instigate false beliefs.

The last commercial I saw was about senator Jim Davis, who is supposed to "raise taxes by 1 billion dollars." If he becomes governer of Florida. Well who actually does the math? If there are 20 million people in Florida, WHICH THERE ARE, this adds up to average 50 dollars a person, per year. But all that we are seeing is the whole picture. 1 Billion dollars. Oh no, this guy is going to take my car. That I don't have in the first place.

I believe that the answer to all this bullshit is education. We are consistently electing officials who's primary goal is to lower taxes. Why? America has enough money from all of the **** we DON'T know about. So let's support the unknown and lower taxes.

Or how about we put that 50 dollars per person into educational research? The only thing left in this world that will give us even a shred of a chance at existing another 1,000 years is education. And as it is, education is going down the shitter. Now, anyone can agree that our education is better than it was 100 years ago. Maybe, twice as good. Too bad we have 50x the amount of knowledge. Maybe if we were properly educated, we could see through all of this bullshit. Maybe if we could think for ourselves we wouldn't have to let them think for us. Maybe we will all just die horrible gruesome deaths and never see it coming

that chavez is a mini-castro. who wants to bring socialism back to venezuela. i have lived in spain who is also socialism and it can be ok, but the idea that he wants the country to carry the only color red instead of their traditions colors, to also follow the ideas and works of fidel castro , who when it power changed his socialism to communision. Chavez is a madman. with crazy ideas that he is going to help the poor (same as castro) , bring more power to the country by closing free trade with the united states, and welcoming other south and central countries joined in his power. this all sounds to me, to easily as castro brought in the soviet union (before the soviet union was torned down). I honeslty think there are too many blinded sided people who instead of looking at the past mistakes that other countries have done, think that Chavez will be good for venezuela. this is my opinion, does anyone else have an educational opinion to give.

They always seem to get the blame when some old fart runs over 10 power-walkers on his way to pick up his glaucoma medication, or when some teenager runs a schoolbus off the road while listening to Kayne West. What gives?

the earth goes through cycles. we are at the very beginning of a warm phase. this isn't the first one, just the only one we humans have been around for. we are not the cause. everyone's heard of the ice age--same thing, just colder. or does that get blamed on the woolly mammoths? maybe it was their hairspray and air conditioning that brought about the freezing temperatures...
