I guess some might believe that a republican government is good for business, especially those businesses involved in the huge U.S. military-industrial complex. Lockheed, Sikorsky, McDonnell-Douglas, GE, Boeing, General Motors, Halliburton, Bechtold, the Carlyle Group, and countless other government contractors profit handsomely from the killings instigated from 'war'.
So, with 655,000 Iraqis and 2,800 U.S. soldiers dead (so far), it's been a banner three years for all those companies and their shareholders. I just hope those corporate executives and their shareholders can explain all that blood on their hands when they finally reach the 'pearly gates'. Unless I'm mistaken, there is still a commandment that says, unequivocally, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL". I don't think there's a disclaimer that says, "Thou shalt not kill UNLESS you're a dim-witted war-mongering President; a greedy, evil Vice-President; an idiot Secretary of Defense; a member of the most incompetent, contemptible, arrogant, cowardly, corrupt Congress in U.S. history; or anyone who profits and gets rich from the manufacture, sale, or deployment of military hardware, missiles, bombs, guns, weapons, aircraft, vehicles, food services, ground support, or other 'necessities' of 'war'. -RKO-

In general, a republican government tends to be geared more towards defense, such as the military, and they tend to be more apt to cut taxes.
