Can we pull out?

NOT should we... but CAN we?

I mean, if we really were to pull out right now, leaving it up to whatever leadership is there, what will happen to iraq?

I really think the question is no longer whether we should be there or not, or if we should or shouldnt, but truely, if we physically and politically can?

Your thoughts?

Please. No comments on GW Bush. Just on the ability to pull out.

We could move troops to Kuwait and see how things go. That's one option some wanted to try. We don't have whole lot of control over violence anyways. The president won't budge on the issue because he is pushing for 'complete victory' which may not be feasible for many decades as he once claimed. Democrats should also be careful because if they manage to pull out troops soon and if Iraqi situation worsens GOP/Bush will blame democrats for all the bad things in Iraq and all the future middle east conflicts and terrorism abroad and at home. Politicians have lot to lose or gain which is very unpredictable, but one thing for sure is more soldiers die longer we stay there and scartching heads wondering what to do.

This is how I see it. Iraq looks unstable now, but then again I only see what it on the news I am not over there. If the troops pull out within the year I believe Iraq will only get worse with more attacks by the terrorists and where it will not be controllable at all anymore. The Iraqi democracy seems to be weak, and it seems as if a dictator worse than Sadaam will overthrow the new government and Iraq will be worse off, There will be more attacks everywhere. My thing is the Iraqi's are going to want to have it bad enough, but Iraq has always been under a dictator and they don't understand democracy. I believe there are people who want it bad right now, but until the Iraqi's step up I believe it is only going to get worse once the troops leave.

Of course we can leave Iraq

For the last 3 years all u have heard about is how terrible things are gonna get if we leave...... well it is pretty terrible now...... It is time to leave..... we cant make things better over there

The middle east has been unstable for over 2000 years....... things aren't gonna change just because America wants it to change.
Iraqi are killing Iraqi ...... America shouldnt take sides in a civil war. When American troops finally pull out, Iraq will handle their own security.... things will get rough for them but it has to before it can get better........ they need to handle it their way..... Iraq isn't America....... The Iraq government isn't part of America

Every time America has tried to set up a government over there it failed...... remember the Shaw of Iran??

it is time for America to start working on America and let the rest of the world handle their own problems

you cant kill an idea with a gun

1st , i don't have faith that we are or ever have been at conflict with Iraq. We liberated Iraq from a depressing tyrant that murdered the individuals of Iraq. the reason we are nevertheless there is now terrorist businesses have circulate into the area to take great thing bearing directly to the area and assault individuals. 2d, The U.S. is extra desirable than in all probability the main useful ability interior the international. we would desire to be prepared to guard all human beings in any respect value. That assertion that we've not extra activity in Iraq is absurd. they are human beings and deserve an identical freedoms we've right here and by using and massive they desire it as a majority. we've a ethical criminal duty to guard the harmless and wreck the evil no be counted the place that's. to maintain this short i will close with this.... would desire to we be there? definite, maximum relatively would desire to we do issues in a different way? definite, Heine web site is often 20/20 sturdy luck at the same time with your paper

Iraq has been unstable from the beginning of time. Really, its the ancient city of Babylon. I was semi stable before we got there and now its a madhouse, so it only makes me think they will be better off on their own.

If staying in Iraq is bad, pulling out would be far worse. Its like handing over the territory to Osama & co. on a platter..allowing him to recruit iraqis for his missions.
Far worse...Iraq could split..causing divisions in neighbouring countries like Iran and Syria...
Who gains from these? Al Qaeda!...gets fresh breeding grounds.
Though staying in Iraq may seem a big pain...pulling out would just through things out of control and the effects could be disaster!.

No, we can't pull out. It will just make Iraq a forward base for Al-Qeda to bomb new York. And since we are preparing to Negotiate with Iran now, that is probably what will happen.

i don't even know why america is in there in the first place. Lets say they are not looking for new oil but we speak of vengence as a bad thing and here we using this reason as payback. Apparently the U.S gave the terrorist weapons for another war and this came back to penetrate their *** good job D1ck Heads they are sitting in the white house comfortably while dying soldiers are fighting for their life.

My husband is over there for the 3rd time. I miss my husband so much. He is a great father, husband, and a great leader. He and the others aren't getting what they deserve over there. There are a lot of soldiers and troops that are getting post-traumatic stress disorder. There's a lot of suicides, divorces, and more health issue problems. This won't ever end.

As of Monday, we had been in Iraq longer than we were in WWII. Think about that! I think our ONLY hope to defend our own country and prevent even MORE damage to Iraq is to begin withdrawing immediately. Keith Olbermann's Special Comment regarding Bush's visit to Vietnam says it all.
