Last night I was watching the 10 o'clock news (pittsburgh). The Top Story was not about how Israel is retailating to Lebanon, it wasn't about North Korea walking out of the meeting but how "Big Ben", after a month, finally talks about his accident. WHO THE HELL CARES???? We are at the possiblity of War here and we are talking about a football players motor cycle accident. Granted, I have nothing against him and I wish the best for a full recovery, but he wasn't wearing a helmet and didn't have a liscens. I also understand that there should be some not so sad stories but not as the Top Story.

What is wrong with society? Is a football player and his carelessness more important than nuclear weapons? or killings?

Seriously, please. No pug/towelhead/kike-bashing answers here, ex: 'until every last one of them is dead!!'

We all know Hezbollah struck first. They killed and captured those Israeli soldiers on the border.

And I think everyone can agree that Israel has retaliated in spades, and killed far more lebanese than the Hez rockets.

My question is, okay but when will they stop? Suppose those soldiers were already dead or beheaded or whatnot. The Lebanese gov can't fight back, heck they can't even control Hezbollah on their own territory.

Does Israel eventually stop on its own, or do we have to wait for Uncle Sam to threaten to stop paying the bills?

Serious answers please.

when i was pumping fuel i was looking at the pump and noticed that tax is added in to the price per gallon. i believe there were 3 different taxes, added up, it was about 96 cent to the gallon. so the price of a barrel is not the reason for high gas prices. it is the governments fault that the prices are so high. it is their taxes on the gas that are causing high prices.if there were no taxes on the gas it would be a little under 2 dollars a gallon.

Particularily when you consider the amount of coverage given to the London attacks or even the Spanish train attacks a few years ago.

While it is true that Hamas and Hezbollah kidnapped Israeli soldiers, Israel response by attacking not only the resistance groups but also by attacking cities and airports. Is Israel justified in its response? If so, why are they justified?

Second part:
The UN has been continuously blocked by the US from passing resolutions to condemn Israel and demand the Israel halt their attacks. While the US demands that North Korea halt their nuclear program they support another nuclear country who is pratically a power keg. Is the US allowing the conflict to spiral out of control? Explain.

Final part:
What is your solution to resolving this conflict?
