Enough retaliation yet?

Seriously, please. No pug/towelhead/kike-bashing answers here, ex: 'until every last one of them is dead!!'

We all know Hezbollah struck first. They killed and captured those Israeli soldiers on the border.

And I think everyone can agree that Israel has retaliated in spades, and killed far more lebanese than the Hez rockets.

My question is, okay but when will they stop? Suppose those soldiers were already dead or beheaded or whatnot. The Lebanese gov can't fight back, heck they can't even control Hezbollah on their own territory.

Does Israel eventually stop on its own, or do we have to wait for Uncle Sam to threaten to stop paying the bills?

Enough retaliation is right. The soldiers may be dead or not in Lebanon is right too. And the US will not, when did it ever?, stop paying Israel. But, you see, Israel does not just bomb with political motives. There is hatred here, envy at a beautiful country, flexing muscles. If Israel or the US wanted to truly go after Hezbollah, see that it is dismantled and disarmed, they should find a way to do it through Syria and Iran, not take on easy targets like Lebanon. It's not like most Lebanese would be sad to see Hezbollah go. Now, Israel is creating hatred in the moderate Lebanese, and going to find itself killing more and more Lebanese civilians, as Hezbollah spreads among them.

Hanntastic: Just where do you get your facts?! Even Israel said that it is Syria and Iran not Lebanon who bankroll Hezbollah. Lebanon has paid a heavy price to get Syria out and has been trying hard to diminish Hezbollah's influence. And what is this going to do? Topple the anti-Syrian government and strengthen Hezbollah in Lebanon. This collective pun ishment and burning up the country makes the most moderate Christian Westernized Lebanese hate Israel. You don't need to go to extremist sources to get different "facts". How about just the BBC? The BRITISH broadcasting corporation. On the web, at www.bbc.com. Try following the news there for a few days. Hopefully you'll realize how dumb and short-sided at best, if not deliberately prejudiced, American media is. I have never been rude here, but you are so pushing my buttons. Crybabies Israelis. Oh, so many casualties, huh? You'll be darned to find even an Israeli agreeing with you as to the humnan casualties proportions!!!

What people don't understand is that Israeli's NEVER leave a soldier behind, alive or dead. The Hezbollah and the Palestinians who kidnapped those soldiers knew this. This was a calculated act to force a war. They WANT a war! The Arab countries want to "wipe Israel from the face of the earth". This would all stop if the kidnapped soldiers were released... 3 guys... so why haven't all these countries that are so critical of Israel demanded the release of the soldiers?

Okay, how's this for a serious answer. I say turn the dogs loose. Let Israel do what they have to do make those idiots understand that they can't get away with this crap anymore. I don't think anyone can fault Israel for the steps they have taken to get along with these people. They ripped their own people out of their homes in an attempt to appease these killers and it didn't work. In fact, they abandoned the part of Lebanon that is now under the control of Hezzies to further the peace process, and all it got them was dead soldiers. Yes, I too feel sorry for the people of Lebanon that they have no control over their own country, but that's not Israel's problem. They have a right to defend themselves.

a serious answer is: israelis kill so many palestinians and have bombed all over the middleeast as well as north africa which american people are blind and ignorant to. if u can justify bombing a country because of 2 soilders kidnapped after all of what they have done to the palestinians i will gladly say you are a narrow minded terrorist. further more the world sees that the barbaric aggresion from israel is increasing and america is supporting this. for every one israeli killed there are 7.7 palestinians killed. what a huge difference. israelis have tanks, bombs, ak47's, u name it america has supplied them with it. now the opposition has low grade weapons to fight back with. if you are not arab or jew i guess there is no point in really talking about it because you are not a muslim or jew so how can you have real knowledge on the subject. this fight will never end until the jews leave israel. americans will support israel until america falls. when ever that will be weather it be today or 500 years from now which every empire does fall. it will stop when americans stop supporting israel. but wait lol america gave israel a NUCLEAR BOMB which is way more dangerous then any weapons the arabs have. wow what hipocraicy.

First of all hezbollah is supported byt eh lebonese government Documents have been recorded and published that show the lebonese governemnt givign aid to hezbollah to purchase rockets.. so you cant' separate it

and secondly where do you get your facts on civilians killed the number of israelis killed by rockets and terorrist and suciide bombings is almost 10 tiems higher then the number of lebonese civilians killed

It is israel's top priority to avoid killing civilians. Many tiems Israel has avoided catching known terrorists taht hvae killed 100s of people so taht one child will not be killed.

Hezbollah members do things like keep children in teh room with them while they send rockets and plan attacks so taht the Israeli army will not attack them

Why should Israel not try ot defend itself because the lebonese governmetn is an ineffective governemtn THe European Union and America have gvien Arab nations millions of dollars to stop terrorism. and most of the money goes to Hezbolalh .

Check your facts and you will see that Israel is only defending itself.. and once hezsbolalh and hamas stop trying to kill innocent children we can hav e hope for peace in the future !

Israel is one country you do not want to mess with. However, Hezbollah is going to continue retailating even if they return the soldiers. There probably will be some sort of war over there unless the U.S. or the U.N. does something. But there is alreay the North Korea thing that is getting everyones attention.

Israel could end this fight by simply leveling the PLO city's. I have wondered why they have not done this, perhaps the people that surround the PLO are worse than the PLO and they serve as a human shield. If that is not the case level the entire of their towns and be done with it. I am tired of hearing about this on the news I have heard about it since 1970 and it is mind numbing.

Good question. Honestly, I don't know. I just think the whole situation is scary! Kinda makes you wonder if there is going to be a WW3. I agree they have gotten even, but it's time to stop. Honestly US is in deep enough as it is. They need to stay out of it. Let France handle, they don't do anything but complain.
