The U.S. gets most of its oil from Venezuela, Canada, and now, Russia, doesn't this contradict the assertion that the U.S. is in Iraq just for oil? Does Iraq really have that much oil? If it was all about oil, why didn't we find a reason to go to war with Russia instead? They have hundreds of times the oil that Iraq has, and losing the cold war has left them in a weakened position.

Noticed on the news when it comes to interviewing officials, political or military, they sound as if they come from america. Can anyone explain this?

Many people support that by saying it's Hezbollah's fault, Lebanon is a terrorist country, etc. Don't you forget that what the US said about Iraq about weapon of mass destruction? Where is the weapons???? I don't support war at all because I love PEACE.
If you support WAR, then you should pay for it. Remember, we (the American people) pay with our taxes for the war and rebuilding of Iraq. It cost billions of dollars. Now, the President of the US told the reporters that we are going to rebuild Lebanon with American people's taxes.
You have to think critically that everything we do will have the effect. You know that American's economy are already crippled with bankruptcy, outsourcing, slow economy, lay-off, high prices, increase taxes, high debts. Think about it. Those taxes could be used for our own education, rebuilding our own economy, etc instead of war. I watched the owner of Ben & Jerry ice cream on PBS talked about disproportion (not balance) of our nation budget.

When we could simply go to Canada and get all the oil & fresh water we need. Those Canadians have 1/5 th of the planets fresh water. We could simply take their oil, water and lumber and our natural resource problem would be fixed.

Should every country acts like Israel over 2 soldiers who were kidnapped? The world will full of violence, wars and soon will be the end of the world. There would be the World War III. Remember that the US airplane bombed the China embassy a few years ago in the late 1990's, and if China would act like Israel, there would be World War III.

Surely when someone is drunk they tend to speak the way they actually feel or believe.
Only when they sober up and realise what damage they may have caused themselves do they resort to falsehoods.

Mr. Mel. Gibson should stand up and let the world know that he is in fact a rabid Anti-Semitic.

American tax payers:
Do you know that the money you pay to your government as taxes are given to Israel in the form of weapons and laser-guided missiles which are used by the Israel to kill orphans?

An Israeli soldier has decided today to bombard an orphanage for disabled children in the Lebanese city of Qana, killing more that 50 disabled orphans.

What do you think of Israel and its war on Lebanon

So far, more than 750 Lebanese have been killed in the atrocities.

Lebanese infrastructure facilties have been razed to the ground, and complete distrcts have been turned into rubble.

Why do you think the Israelis are doing so?

The declared reasons is because Lebanese resisteance fighters have captured two Israeli soldiers (they are still alive) in southern Lebanon, an area occupied by Israelis.

This is only an effort to understand--If Muslims feel they are they only people entitled to live in that geographical area, I'm trying to understand how and why?
