Hezbollah was sniping at Israel all along, Massiha. That is what they do, their reason for existing.
Hezbollah are not the legitimate Lebanese army. they are guerrillas, who hide out among the people in southern Lebanon and make targets of them. Israel is not fighting the Lebanese army, they are fighting these renegades terrorists whose sole purpose in life is to destroy Israel Get your story straight, everyone. Of course Hezbollah expected Israel to strike back. That is why they do what they do. And by killing civilians, Israel looks so bad in the eyes of the world. That is exactly what Hezbollah loves!

Hezbollah saw all the attention that Hamas got for kidnapping one Israeli soldier ... so they wanted to get some of the publicity for themselves.
They were admittedly suprised that Israel reacted militarily. Hezbollah cannot be accused of being intelligent, especially when Israel TOLD them what would happen if they did not return the two soldiers they kidnapped.
That was as smart on Hezbollah's part as a bucket of hair. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Don't ever use Hezbollah and intelligent in the same sentence. They are mutually exclusive words.

The Lebanese leader of Hezbollah was surprised by the attack. He thought it would be OK to kidnap and kill Israel soldiers. This would give them leverage in persuading the Israelis to release terrorist heads instead of keeping them in prison. This was on Yahoo news.

This is all just a hissy fit by Israel because the world wouldn't go attack Iran. They started this current problem by killing innocent Palestinians on a beach. You never see the truth about the death after death of innocent Palestianians, but only what the US news wants you to read.
