I cant' believe that people writing stories and organizations publishing them can be so blatent in regards to what people say: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070921/wl_nm/safrica_mandela_bush_dc

When President Bush said Mandella is dead - Saddam killed all the Mandella's - he meant that there was no one in Iraq to lead the people the way Mandella did in South Africa -

We are lucky that Mandella was not killed and only jailed - where he could survive and go on to lead a peacful revolution - Saddam killed anyone who was against him so there is no one "like Mandella" to lead the Iraq people.

I wish journalists would improve what they do - I feel embarrassed for those who write articles - with the purpose of hurting someone rather than reporting real truth and news.

Today he said Mandela was dead! He's not! If you're the president of the most powerful country in the world, have your facts checked before opening your mouth!

Well he got acquitted for killing his wife and her friend, and then wrote a book telling how he did it . Not if. I read it online and it definitly is something he did. Even the jurors from that trial are openly saying they were wrong. And yes, some of them were black. He, i believe was set up, the Tom Ricci character taped it all, set up the meeting, sold the tape, didn't get arrested, and got OJ liquored up before the meeting. He should of handled it a better way. They are all sharks swimming in the same waters, but he walked away with a pocket of money, the others face charges. Maybe it's justice, set up by a friend of the Goldmans perhaps? They are unhappy with the fact he isn't paying up. And they want to find those off-shore accounts of his. People are all about money, even at the expense of his dead son. Those children of OJ should be getting any profits, not the Goldmans. I don't like OJ, but there's more to this story that meets the eye. Again.

and promote world peace. In my opinion its has failed miserably. There is no peace. There is no unity. So can the readers of this board explain just what the UN has acheived. There should be a world police force consisting of troops of ALL nations which should be used in local conflicts. Why not even invite Bin Laden to the UN and guarentee his safety. If this brings world peace it would be a small price to pay.

Does mass market media like CBS, NBC, ABC, or even our local news channels and papers owe the public something?

For the most part, these networks broadcast free entertainment twenty-four hours a day. They make up their money their money in advertising revenue, but still require operating budgets in the low billions every year. As we don't pay a dime, and aren't required to watch, do these networks owe the lower and middle classes something?

Do you think they inaccurately portray the real issues within America so as not to threaten the status quo?

What do you think?

This whole Jena 6 topic on Answers has conjured up a lot of ignorant comments from white people on here. I dont even think of it as a race issue, but just outright injustice. But whites still seem to be insensitive to the ongoing struggle to be equal for blacks.
In my opinion anyways.....

I have noticed questions on here about people joking about weed smoking, and make light of it.

I work in mental health and I can tell you now its NOT harmless, it can bring on schizophrenia in much too many people.

I have smoked it myself a few years back and know it chills you out nicely, but is it really worth the risk??

I also agree that Alcohol is worse in some ways before you all start on that one.

There are 1000's of links I could post. Yes enjoy it, but i urge everyone who does, to consider this.

People who develop schizophrenia can have there life's ruined and IN MY EXPERIENCE end up being shunned by friends and family.

Of course this does not happen to all schizophrenics but the majority i have worked have.

What do u think??

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- About one million Chinese-made, Simplicity brand cribs are being recalled after three infants died and seven were trapped when the drop side of cribs detached causing a dangerous gap, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
One 9-month-old child and one 6-month-old child died in cribs using older-style hardware that had the drop-side installed upside down.

I don't even know who made my daughters crib which all 3 used but my 16 week old sleeps in with us anyway but this is just awful.
And we still import things from China...Whhhhyyyy?

why have we allowed things in our civilization to get to the point they we are at now. we are misinformed, poorly educated, saturated with mindless nonsense peddled for reality on tv everyday and yet we buy into it. we think because tv tells us that the bad guy will alway's get caught at the end of csi that thats how it happens. at the end of the day we will be victorious in whatever we do. this is nonsense. we can not win a war on terror, we can not win the hearts of the iraqi people when we use torture, inprisonment and just plain brute force. in iraq if you are of fighting age our military can inprison you for up to 6 months without cause. now you might say well this is what has to be done to win the war. well this hasnt been a war for a long time its an occupation. what would you do if that was going on here? if we stay on this path for to long we will be the one's with the hoods over our heads being led off to secret prisons with no just cause in the name of freedom.

Do you think it would be a mistake, at this point, for Bush to attempt some type of communication (negotiation?) with Iran? Would it make our position in Iraq even more precarious (If that's possible)? Or, might it be helpful, in some way? If memory serves, there was, a while back, an attempt on the part of Iran to open a dialogue, which Bush refused to consider. However, it does seem, since the demise of Khomeini, that Iranians have become less volatile towards the U.S...... and we were, after all, quite friendly with them, at one time. I realize, there is a threat of "terrorism" lurking within Iran's borders. However, is that not also true of Saudi Arabia, with which we have a, seemingly, good relationship? I would really like to understand the "workings" of our government, although its foreign policies are confusing me. So, whatever you can offer, in the way of explanation, is appreciated.
(BTW, feel free to "talk down" to me. I won't be offended, and it may help. Ha.)

How bad will you feel if it turns out you have been wrong in your argument all along.

For the Pro McCann's eventually found guilty of murder

For the anti McCann's found innocent of Murder and abduction is proved.

(ok you have to forget the neglect issue here, I know its a big part of the case but for now, that is not what I am talking about).

Myself, classed as a 'pro' McCann will accept that my judgement was so wrong, although I never agreed for one minute about leaving them alone, but I do not believe they have harmed her in anyway, so my faith in human nature would take yet another severe knock.

(PLEASE LEAVE THE NEGLECT ISSUE OUT, IM TALKING ABOUT MURDERING THEIR OWN CHILD).

How would you feel if you have been wrong all along?

i was reading about the jena six incident and trial. i do not believe that this should be a black and white issue. it should be about right and wrong. i think that the real issue is being covered up due to the protests.

does anyone agree and why?

if you don't agree please tell me why.
