I have just read what this guy has done, yes it has been a while since the story broke but didn't know who he was.
What a disgusting person!
Maybe we should educate him on how to treat an animal?

I know that everyone on Yahoo is not from Kentucky but i am, and i wanted to know if you would be offended by this if he were talking about your state like this. I cant believe he was allowed to post such an article! I think he should be fired for this because he is no better that Don Imus for the comments that he made and Imus got fired. I want to expose this as much as possible so this guy is recognized for what he wrote. thanks

I agree people should be given a second chance. However, he makes light of the crime. He considers it as bad as hunting. He said Michael received more negative press than if he killed a human being. He didn't do THAT, so how can he compare that. The only sports figure that I can think of that was accused of murder was OJ. When OJ was accused of murder, you cannot say Vick received more negative press.

Here's the story...

The 21-year-old New York man said Tuesday he had no choice but to sell the ball — several people told him he would be taxed on the souvenir just for holding on to it.

"It wasn't hard. It was simple math. I'm upset by the decision I had to make," Murphy said. "I wanted to keep it. I'm young. I don't have the bank account. ... It would have cost me a lot more to keep it."

I never knew that you could be taxed on an item that became a part of hisotry, due to who made contact with that object. Do they tax antiques stores as well? Or museums for what and who they hold? Is this a law? Is this common practice?

Its people like R.L. White that give black folks and NAACP a bad name. Lets understand Michael Vick surrounded by millions of dollars, surrounded by agents, presidents, family is supposed to now have a opportunity to come back and entertain us. So we can show how merciful and compassion that we forgive him and give him a chance to regenerate. Vick do us a favor if you really want to be a man ask the judge to give you max sentence. When you come out I will give you a try out on my team.

I hate making these type of generalisations but its as if Iraq war is the fault of innocent Iraqis or Afghanistan failure is Pakistan and Iran's fault, global warming is India's faults, trade deficit and economy is China's fault, lack of control of central asia is russia's fault, everything is someones fault. its quite annoying, I mean I am Pakistani is our fault that their president is incompetent who supports our military dictators

As reading through the Yahoo! news i found an article that has been catching my eye lately.
Title:
"Man arrested for stealing broadband"

Link to article:
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/itn/20070822/tuk-man-arrested-for-stealing-broadband-dba1618_1.html

To me using someones broadband connection when it has entered my house is acceptable. The goverment should create something that can limit a signal reach for wireless connections if they dont want this to happen. I know radio waves are pretty much everywhere today but come on they should have something by now to limit it all.

People should read instruction carefully and put a password on their wireless connection. Either way its the persons fault for not password protecting their connetion so its distributed over a relative scale.

There have been a few cases like this been showing up... they aren't stepping onto anybodys properties but accessing it from a public place.

So what does everyone think on things like this??

I am so looking forward to the Geico sitcom!

I turned on the TV and saw a bunch of primitive guys, beating their chests, shouting at each other, airing their insecurities and whining about being treated unfairly! The show was hilariously silly, until it cut to commercial and I saw that it was actually the Hannity and Colmes show on Fox News! I was so dissapointed, still looking forward to the Geico Cavemen show!

I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea for there to be a number to text in emergencies where the caller isn't able to dial 999, obviously the main point would be for use in cases such as burglary (say you hear your being broken into and you have a phone - calling 999 is not an option as they'd hear you, obviously dangerous considering most are armed, or another instance may be in kidknapp cases, etc, even child abuse and domestic violence etc.. Basically all cases where you can do it descretely.)

Whether or not you the People have noticed, the government has become increasingly more involved in the domestic and day to day aspects of individual American lives. They control whether or not one can curse, wear a seat belt, spit, own a firearm, and now a baseball. I think the issue isnt simply that they are taxing the ball....it is the idea that they are taxing such an exorbitant amount of tax for it. People wake up....the government wants two hundred thousand dollars for a BALL. Look at your paychecks and you will see a very similar scenario....the amount of taxes is astronomical. Bottom line is this: the private invasion into your personal lives and the assault on your personal finances can only come to a halt when You stand up and decide that this is enough. The Jewish people's plight, if you will read your history, started very similar to this, in many aspects. We have become fascist America, and the Dictator is Greed. Time to do something about it.

Well Gerry glad you can sleep at nights, because I am sure I would need sleeping pills at this stage of the game.

Now that's what's really sad and pathetic

"The parents of missing Madeleine McCann are calling for a change in international policing laws to ensure all crimes against children are treated the same way throughout Europe."

"The demand, to be made tomorrow, will underline any inadequacies in the Portuguese investigation into Madeleine's disappearance."

"Research published tomorrow, conducted for the Find Madeleine Campaign, will show widespread support among MPs and MEPs for a cross-European policing policy."

Well hang on, who conducted this research?? the Find Madeleine Campaign, oh well no vested interest there, so it must be an accurate survey. Let me guess, every person they asked said it was a good idea?

Can anyone explain to me what moral authority the McCanns have to lecture anyone in the EU about missing children?

And check out the gem from David Payne in the piece as well. Of course youre being dragged into the story, because youre the friggen main players. Idiot.

There's a programme on tv tonight (UK) where a member of parliament is talking to people like this. As a full time worker since leaving school in the '70s, I'll be sure to watch it.
