What do you expect from a man who knows nothing of the history of either Iraq or Vietnam ? I doubt he knows much about American history - he certainly has no clue about the Constitution or why we have one.

Bush is facing two tough options: Should he stay in Iraq or should he pull out? Either way, Bush is doomed forever. If we stay, the situation will never get better since it got even more complicated. If we stay, Muslim Extremists and Al-Qaida will continue to be united and stronger against us. If we stay, our troops will continue to die every day. If we stay, most people in this world will continue to resent us and give America a bad name. And now, the other option is to pull out. If we pull out, Iraqi people and other political fractions will start fighting each other to death as a national civil war. So what is wrong with that? Iraqi people are dying every day anyway. Let us pull out and let them kill each other till they reconcile their differences. We did it here in our country during the civil war. If we pull out, we will create a vacuum and suck Iran inside. So what is wrong with that? Iran is sending Muslim Extremists and terrorists inside Iraq anyway. Let's suppose that Iran occupied Iraq after we pull out. Well, in this case we will have a good excuse to nuke Iran totally. Nobody will blame us if we destroy Iran in this case. The European Union, Russia or China will not allow Iran to invade Iraq. It is not beneficial for them. So why are we afraid of pulling out of Iraq? The truth is that Bush does not want to leave Iraq and he is buying time. It is all about the Oil imperialism.

As I get it, he is saying it was not good to pull out before the South Vietnamese were able to defend their country and it would repeat the same mistake if we pull out of Iraq before the Iraqis are ready.
President Bush did NOT serve in Vietnam, he was in the air national guard flying planes, mostly trainers. It has been questioned whether he finished all of his obligated time in the guard but the media seems to have lost interest in that subject so we may never know the truth unless we can inspire an investigative reporter who truly wants the truth.
To those who are not comfortable standing behind our troops, please stand in front of them.

He is speaking as the President and an honorably discharged Veteran. What he is saying is absolutely right. If we pull out too soon we leave these people, who have come to trust us and believe in Democracy, we leave them to the butchers and murderers who are the insurgents. That's what happened in Vietnam.
