I know that everyone on Yahoo is not from Kentucky but i am, and i wanted to know if you would be offended by this if he were talking about your state like this. I cant believe he was allowed to post such an article! I think he should be fired for this because he is no better that Don Imus for the comments that he made and Imus got fired. I want to expose this as much as possible so this guy is recognized for what he wrote. thanks

Oh, I can believe it. I was born and raised in New York City. But, I fortunately escaped shortly after my 18th birthday and never looked back. He won't be fired because his attitude is very typical of those who believe that anyone who goes west of the mall in Paramus, New Jersey risks falling off the edge of the earth. The insularity of their lives increases their base of ignorance. Several years ago I returned to my native Brooklyn and told some folks I met that I now lived a Nevada county which is larger in land area than New Jersey or Massachusetts. They looked at me like I was a being from another planet.

I am from New Jersey where everyone in this country considers our state to be the butt of America. People think N.J. is a disgusting wasteland of pollution an criminal behavior. This of course is not true, but who am I to try to convince America that N.J. is a beautiful place to live. Your state has its own reputation, whether it's true or not. Personally I found the article funny and I think you should lighten up.
