NYTimes; LONDON, June 16 — Increasingly, Muslim women in Britain take their children to school and run errands covered head to toe in flowing black gowns that allow only a slit for their eyes.

Their appearance, like little else, has unnerved other Britons, testing the limits of tolerance here and fueling the debate over the role of Muslims in British life.

After the July 7 attacks, this is not the time to be antagonizing Britain by presenting Muslims as something sinister,” said Imran Ahmad, the author of “Unimagined,” an autobiography about growing up Muslim in Britain, and the leader of British Muslims for Secular Democracy. “The veil is so steeped in subjugation, I find it so offensive someone would want to create such barriers. It’s retrograde.”

Why is the US (many people) afraid of building nuclear power plants to drastically reduce our energy source from coal and oil?
Europe is building several new plants and France (so called the great country) gets 80% of their energy from nuclear compared to 20% in the US.
Don't give me something that happened 20 yrs ago, technology and safety has changed dramatically since than.

Dear all people of the world:

We everyone hoped that a beautifull British girl Madeleine McCann who disappear on 3rd of May in Portugal, Praia da Luz and the others missing kids would be found safe .

About this case of Madeleine, I think that all world leaders (EUROPE,ASIA, AMERICA & AFRICA) must be do something seriously to consider Madeleine’s case and is the time to combat human trafficking especially trafficking children because they’re innocent…

PLS PLS DO SOMETHING, the trafficking of children is around the world remains a serious problem.

Now that the great leadership in congress had achieved a new low in popularity whats next. Does Reid and Pelosi have some master plan to spring back or are they just inept?? With only 14% approval rating it is hard to put faith in their inactions. Perhaps they will wise up and get something done besides give away this country to the illegals.

I am asking this question due to the fact over the past few days attacks against our military forces have stepped up. I do not want finger pointing across political party and philosophical lines - I want tangible suggestions for better safeguarding our troops in Iraq for the duration of their stay. It would seem to me that the Iraq govementt and its own trained military forces could begin to bear the weight of the security detail. Maybe I am off base. Look forward to your answers.

A number of well known democrats even said that Saddam Hussein was making WMDs after 1991. Clinton even said they were making them in 1998:

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

A lot of democrats think this war is a mistake, yet a lot of them supported it at the time, like John Kerry:

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

U.S. envoy Christopher Hill arrived in North Korea Thursday for talks on the next moves to be made under a nuclear disarmament agreement reached earlier this year.

North Korea reached a tentative agreement in February on a deal to begin to close down its nuclear program in exchange for $300 million in energy and financial aid.

Are we going to be out $300 million when North Korea finds a way to weasel out of this agreement and once again expels our Nuclear Inspectors and fires up it's nuclear weapons program?

THE STORY:

Child abductions are extremely rare; in fact it is more likely that your child would die in road traffic accidents or fire-related deaths. The chance of your child being abducted (not missing) is one in 100 million a year. 17,000 children under five years old in England are admitted to hospital each year due to illnesses caused by their parents smoking.

Gerry McCann has been trained for 20 to calculate risks; he would calculate your risk of an adverse event. He would tell you that you have 7% or so chance of dying of heart attack or stroke in the next ten years, and you need so and so to reduce your risk. Why then do you think he underestimated the risk of leaving Madeleine- his flesh and blood- alone that terrible night?

Rants are not welcomed, Reasoned answers please.

Thank you,

Latest MSNBC poll asked 144 media types what political party they have contributed to since 2004. Of the 144 respondents, 127 gave to the democrat party and it's candidates. Does this not prove to a certain extent, that the media has a liberal bias?

Thousands if not millions of innocent people in Iraq have been killed - has any body been brought forward to take responsibility for them? Take out the terrorists and kill them.
But in regards to the killings of innocent people/ non-combatants, does Blair and Bush not have blood on their hands? Are they above the international law? Slobodan Milosevic did similar and yet he was taken to the hague for war crimes.

Why do the freemasons and Council on Foreign relations members that run our government for the privately owned central banks like the Federal Reserve hate America and the U.S. Constitution so much ??
Or do they just want to quell any public venue where people can voice their opposition to their (war) crimes and fascist policy and protest against their treasonous crimes against America like the SPP (North American Union), DynCor and Halliburton child kidnapping rings, CPS rape rooms in Texas, FEMA concentration camps for citizens (Rex84) or the fact that the U.S. borders are wide open during the 'war on terror' with illegal aliens being above the law, not even arrested for drunk driving or arson ?

Why do you think they want to shut people up so bad ?

Is the corporate controlled media not doing a good enough job trying to lie and decieve people into going back to sleep ?

America is under seige but the resistance is growing..

I've noticed how time and time again "W" has given unending support to his financers, even at the cost of American Citizen's well being. I believe he is using the "moral" excuse to justify his veto, but the truth may be in the question "Who will be hurt from stem cell research?" and the conclusion seems to me that it would hurt the Drug and Health companies. Think about it, if we find cures to diseases then we will not need to take so many drugs anymore. Stem Cell could lead to MANY cures and that would hurt companies that "need" us to be sick and on medications. Do you think this is possible?
