but these people who say they have spotted maddie why dont they hold onto the child till the police confirm it is or isnt her, sightings are no good if you then lose her in the crowd again,

Ceasers wife...have you followed the Shawn Hornbeck case. He was out in public, dated a girl, rode his bike, had a best friend, even got stopped by police once because he broke curfew. Amazingly enough nobody recognized him. I believe he suffered from stockholm syndrome and this is why he never alerted people of who he was. Or he was just to scared to but he had 100% freedom while his abductor worked. And he was also only an hour or so from his home. Lets just say this was infact Madeleine....they are long gone now. It has been all over the news that there was sightings there of her.

Let's imagine that you stole a little girl. Would you honestly have her out in broad daylight, where the whole world is looking for her?
Of course not. People see what they want to see. She's just a sweet little girl, like millions out there. And many people will say "that little girl looks like Madeleine".
Like Lord Lucan who turned up in every country in the world.

Shawn Hornbeck was missing for five years before he was found. He would have changed dramatically during that time.

an exciting question, with some beautiful solutions published. there is something very unusual related to the finished setup with the Mccann's. There are a protracted way too many coincidences for my liking. basically desire that the police think of the comparable and are investigating thoroughly. in fact the previous bill probable have their suspicions yet don't have adequate annoying evidence.

most likely they will be visiting soon then.

Where next? Somewhere nice like the Caribbean?

What I don't understand is why they have got posters all over the med in English. In Tunisia, where they speak french and arabic, the posters were in english. In Italy where they speak italian, the posters were in english. If they really want to find the girl, why not bother to make misisng posters the people can understand?

People who spot her, im sure they have a camera phone don't they? Would it not be easier to take a quick snap of the people who have her. Or Beat the sh** out of the person who has her.

Honestly, There is no support from the british goverment whatsoever. I just hope she comes back home soon.

On BBC news this morning the McCanns stated that they were not focusing on the 5 leads with respect to sightings of their daughter in Malta ........Those people are unbelievable....!!

Anyone else feel that they really do not want her to be found!!

P.S when they do eventually decide to check out this lead... IN THREE MONTHS TIME.. do you think that Gerry will get the private jet that he so richly deserves .. one with extra legroom this time round???

Once a reward is offered for the discovery of a person or persons, there are bound to be 'sightings'. People want the reward and hope that their sighting will lead to finding the person or persons and thus enable them to claim the reward[s].

Greed is good.

One tiny point. When referring to MALTA do not forget the GC. You should have typed MALTA GC. The Island of Malta and therefore the people of Malta, were awarded the George Cross by our late soverign HM King George VI.

Yeah true, but they have said that they have no intention of going to Malta to "follow up" these leads! I guess they prefer holidaying in the Algarve to Malta.

That'll help the Team McCann sort out their next European destination and a trip on their private jet.

Some folk have all the luck and the likes of us normal families have to wait twice a year for a trip abroad.
