Newspapers and tv news are in the business of making money. Sensational stories sell.
Good news is usually found in the local and community sections of the paper.
Think of it this way: it's news when bad things happen. That means that normally GOOD things happen. I'd start worrying if only good things were reported in the paper. That would mean that being bad was normal.

I watch the news because I feel that it is important to be informed. I agree with you though. Maybe you should turn on the news but when a negative story comes on, change the channel. You should probably avoid the local evening news which tends to depress me more than the national nightly news. Morning news is fun though.

i think you have to actually strive and do the things that would be good news for you
SO yo umake your own good news by doing it and experiecning it
News is more to infor m about what needs to be fixed what is it that is not going well so we can work on it Of course its overdone when you get it everyday So focus on not overdoing it and focus on thnings you can do like suporting a casue that u feel would make things better-recycle go to town meetings be a mentor etc etc

To get positive news you only have to do one thing.....stop reading all of the news.

When only good news sells papers, that's when they'll focus on it. Until then, they focus on what sells papers.

yes , yune out instead of in or else take it all as only a form of unreal entertainment and see what they are really saying , or , funner , what they could be saying . enjoy !!!
