UNBELIEVABLE NIGHT! Dixie Chicks went five for five at the 29th Annual Grammy Awards winning the big three general categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as Best Country Album and Best Country Performance By a Duo or Group. (do I hear the popping of tiny conservative brains?)
Congrats Dixie Chicks!!

.....And after you answer that question honestly, what "rational" thought process motivates so many Americans to side with their own enemies, people that live to condemn Americans and chant "Death To The USA" ?

On the ITV news this morning they showed a clip of a video taken by a sky diver whose parachute fails and amazingly he survives. they said they would show it in full in the proper lunch time programme but I didn't watch it. I wanted to try and find it because it was fascinating, I've looked on the ITV news website and I can't find it and youtube has hundreds of sky diving videos so I can't sort through them all. Any ideas?

this man on itv was being interviewed and he said that the brittish just cowerd in ww2 and sucked their thumbs right the way through it,did anyone see
well i dont know but i wander how many people he offended.
Now after seeing Topgear last night i saw the three presenters go off around america in rubbish cars and they were nearly killed by uneducated single minded americans that didn't like what they had written on their car.......
is this what america is,"you'll get shot if you go into a certain street"????

Recently the State Department published its annual report which was filled with inaccurate numbers as to the amount of terrorist acts which occurred over the past year and the amount of victims who lost their lives. The State Department first hailed the report as proof of the positive impacts of the War on Terrorism. Once influential congressional figures questioned the reports validity, the State Department acknowledged the errors and then stated that the "State Department retracts the terrorism assertion and corrected the report. Thus the new report will show a 'sharp increase' in the amount of terrorist acts and victims killed globally." This article was published by CNN on Thursday, June 10, 2004 Posted: 9:37 PM EDT.

The article goes on to say that Colin Powell denied that the errors were politically motivated, but many in Congress have challenged him on this issue.
The above mentioned policy report which was the subject of great debate both in the media and the international community. The State Department has made corrections, yet many in Congress call for a hearing in order to investigate the State Department's misinformation.

I went to watch Derby County play Bolton in 1993 and I got "beat up" by three policemen, I was in a right state, Its too much of a long story to tell you all about it here, but I did not do anything wrong and they tried to do me for threatening behaviour.

It wasn't all bad news, when they took me to court, the Bolton police didn't expect what happened next!! I had two Derby County stewards stand up and say I didn't do anything wrong in Bolton's ground and even better, Two Derby police man (who were stunned by what they saw) actually stood up in court and testified that they saw the police assault me.

I ended up receiving £4000 in compensation, but that took 4 YEARS to get!!!

These shocking headlines greeting me with coffee at breakfast --
and many americans think/feel that the war in Iraq is our greatest global social problem?, worth sending billions of dollars to 'fix', and young men to die for?

Wondering where our elected "leaders'" priorities are headed?

The U.S. is introducing another $1 coin. The most recent $1 coin, the Sacajawea dollar failed pretty badly. Polls say that Americans prefer to keep the dollar bill. Having been to Europe, where 1 and 2 Euro coins are the norm, I have to say that I think I would prefer the coin. And it would save money not to have to print so many $1 bills. What do you think?
