I went to watch Derby County play Bolton in 1993 and I got "beat up" by three policemen, I was in a right state, Its too much of a long story to tell you all about it here, but I did not do anything wrong and they tried to do me for threatening behaviour.

It wasn't all bad news, when they took me to court, the Bolton police didn't expect what happened next!! I had two Derby County stewards stand up and say I didn't do anything wrong in Bolton's ground and even better, Two Derby police man (who were stunned by what they saw) actually stood up in court and testified that they saw the police assault me.

I ended up receiving £4000 in compensation, but that took 4 YEARS to get!!!

There are lots of people who have been put in jail undeservedly for decades who have sold their stories. You might want to write your own book. what have you learned from the experience that you'd want to share with other peopel that would be of some help to them?

How did the incident , other than the money chnage you and your life? Was it for the better or for the worse?

Check out www.lulu.com, you might be able to self publish there.

No, that's not extremely extraordinary. I stay in England and oftentimes circulate to the "different - uk" holiday section on Yahoo! solutions. you would be surprised at what proportion human beings seem to choose to return over right here. i'm guessing there would desire to be some underlying reason the united kingdom has replace into so desirable to human beings at present. that's not continually been like that yet unexpectedly activity has spiked. on your case, you're for sure smitten by a television coach. i'm guessing that's a case with fairly some human beings. You get a romanticised view of a rustic from a fictional television coach it fairly is by no potential a genuine mirrored image of genuine existence. some human beings love the music, others like the history or the custom. besides the undeniable fact that that's incredibly basic to income a faux impression of a place. All i will incredibly say is that mutually as the united kingdom is a brilliant usa, to boot previous and historic homes, there is probably no longer something over right here which you are going to no longer be able to easily locate in u.s.. you in addition to mght would desire to grasp that that's almost impossible for an American to circulate right here for any length of time except you have a mountain of skills and years of adventure in a specialized field. yet of path, be happy to circulate to. possibly then you definately will comprehend that the united kingdom isn't fairly as ideal as your mind's eye is telling you.

I think it would be a good book to write regardless whether anyone bought it or not. It must have been difficult at times to persue your cause so congratulations for seeing it through. It could be that the book could be an inspiration to others as well as a learning tool for police training. Go for it. Nothing ventured...at the very least it will purge your soul.

the way you tell it no.

perhaps if the event motivated you to become a powerful lawyer who defends the downtrodden.

perhaps if you could prove that yours was not an isolated incident but widespread to a particular race in that arena.

perhaps if the event motivated you to get the laws changed at all football games making creating trouble a felony endangerment crime.

but you end your story with recieving 4000 pounds, and while that may be good for you it would be anticlimatic for a story or book.

~If you are honestly in the right, and that is really what happened, then I'm sure you could sell your story to Hollywood, after you find a ghost screen-writer to get your story down on paper and show it around.
I wish you the best, and I'm glad to hear it turned out well for you.

I'm glad you won the judgement, but why did the policemen aggro on you in the first place?
