All the news stations except FOX have been telling us over the last 4 years that the war in Iraq has been going poorly-The Bush adm. along with FOX-have been holding their ground saying the media has just been reporting bad news. It appears it is a mess over there-the media as a whole have been right-and the Bush (it appears) has been lying. Americans want the truth good or bad.Only Sean Hannity insists thing are going well in Iraq,

Remove all arguements of cruel and unusual punishment, the death penalty is not a deterrorant, "we do not have the right to take a life" - the PREMISE is strictly that by killing this person - they would never be able to kill again.

Also, the evidence would have to be absolute! a judge would NOT have the power to decide what evidence could be introduced at the trial or NOT introduced as they can now. The evidence could NOT be CIRCUMSTANCIAL as the evidence was in Scott Peterson's trial (although I thought he was guilty the evidence was all circumstancial). An appeallate court would ABSOLUTLY have to rule even if it were to affect the career of the prosecutor or judge in the lower court..

drugs are part of americas economy..it creates jobs and wipes out minorities.through drug use and sales (illegally) it makes jobs for police ,judges ,lawyers, jails, rehabs, funeral homes, and side effects are aids, hepititis, crime.it goes on and on. so if were at war and our military are in a country producing heroin .then why is production going up? my hunch is because thats why were there????does any 1 else see that?

Just wondering what people's thoughts are. I have always kind of supported Isreal based on the belief that Jews should have a home country based on what happened during WWII. I have friends that argue that it would be like the Native Americans saying we want our land back and fighting over it hundreds of years later.
I am certianly no expert in the conflict, nor do I pretend to understand why people would fight so hard over a small strip of what appears to be sand........

If we wanted to premeptively strike dangerous countries with WMDs why didn't we go into N. Korea who launched a nuke into the ocean 2 days before we invaded Iraq.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were at war in a foreign country and the consensus among the media ( ABC, CBS, NBC ) was that the situation for the U.S. was bad, but the White House said it was good- who would you believe ?

All whites I know say he was justified in saying what he said because the hecklers had provoked him, because he only mean those particular Blacks, because what he said was essentially correct and that we haven't heard what the hecklers told him first to get him to react like that.

You know, it seems like a load of BS to me. They were not making all those excuses when Mel Gibson said what he said about Jews. And Gibson wasn't shouting threats to a Jew. Richards was threatening actual people at his show.

Why do whites gang together, even to defend that which is indefensible? Perhaps that's the secret of their success, perhaps the right thing for all races to do is to support your own even when you know they are wrong.

Why do the government and media keep banging on about the closure of the hamper company Farepack? It was only council house scussers on benefits and low income that lost out, who cares? That'll teach em to spend all their money on fags and scratch cards!

Perhaps the situation in Iraq would not be so bad now if Mr. Annan had stood his ground at an earlier stage when he allowed himself to be bullied by George Bush.
The U N was found to be weak when Bush wanted his way, and was hungry for war.
Now Mr. Bush does not know what to do with Iraq, and seems to wish he had never invaded - which he had no right to do.
Would the situation be as bad if the U N had stood it's ground, and not allowed itself to be intimidated by Bush?
I worry for the future of the U N if people like Bush can be allowed to push it around.
