Well if he ran over a cop and rammed his car twice I would not consider him unarmed.

just because he may not have had a gun one him doesn't mean that he did not threaten their life in a different way. First off a cop can't shot someone just because they want to. They must have their life threatened. Another thing everyone is quick to jump on top the police saying their in the wrong, but you know half the crap you hear from the media isn't true. They have a magizine, forgot what is called, talking about aliens and crying statues and the end of the world; so just because it s on stands does it make it true. Until you walk a day in a police officers shoe then who are you to judge. Police officers are killed daily but does that mean you will hear about it? No! They go out there put their life on the line every single day to protect and serve ungreatful people. They are peoples family just like anyother person. Yes they make mistakes but the important thing to remember is they to are only human. To all the people who have an issue will cops here is an idea, don't call them about your pety person problems and stay out of trouble then you won't have to worry about them. You don't bother them and they won't both you, that simple.

And as soon as this kind of things happens, the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are there to scream, "Police Brutality! Racism!" All they do is stir the sh*t and create more racial tension. Did either of the "holy men" even try to find out what the real circumstances were? I suspect if the dude was celebrating his impending nuptials in a strip club until 4:00 a.m., he was probably drunk out of his mind. I would almost bet that the police officers felt their lives were endangered as this drunken imbecile tried to run them over with his car. I would imagine that Sharpton and Jackson will make a mockery of justice in this case, claiming that poor innocent black men were once again being unfairly 'picked on' by the police.
This is bulls*it. It's time for black men to take responsibility for their own actions instead of hiding behind the skirts of cretins like Sharpton and Jackson. -RKO-

I know these punk cops.
I know their type.
I went to high school with a bunch of them.

Basically the great "NYPD blue" consists of the losers who couldn't get their act together after high school so they decided to take a high paying low effort job with the promise of 20yr retirement in exchange for being shot at and taking orders from the Mafia.

Ever get pulled over by one of these losers? They'll be quick to make you understand who's in charge. They've got the gun. That's all that matters.

They have no respect for the people they serve.

I'll tell you exactly what happened:

These cops were undercover so they walked around that club with the usual chip on their shoulder, but no uniform. The victim had no indication of whom they were dealing with. The cops did NOT identify themselves so as not to blow their cover, but also FAILED to act in a manner that would avoid conflict. Just poorly trained punks. The victims thought the punks who were being rude and aggressive with them were just a bunch of thugs. They got into words, and probably brushed or bumped one of them with their car.

The proper response from a bunch of thugs with badges? Unleash 50 rounds.

Anyone surprised that only 11 landed?

I hope they hang, but they'll likely just be forced into retirement - with a fat pension.

Edit--
Sum this up: 3 unarmed men. 50 shots fired at them. - What more do you need to know?

Just one question --What does the guys race have to do with the matter? And you will have to give more details. If he was attempting to use the car as a weapon, he wasn't unarmed. And you say he was shot at 51 times? Was he hit? If he wasn't I'd be complaining about the shooting proficiency.

Hey just be glad you aren't in Baghdad.

The news media poisons our minds. they create the perception that all innocent black men are targets for the police. It is true that the police are very tough on young black men, but it is also true that most of the street crime is committed by young black men.

I feel very bad for the innocent. I still hurt for the family of Amadu Dialu who was murdered by the cops, It was absolutely awful.

Why doesn't the black communuty do something about the criminals who are growing up in their communities? Even Farakan (sp?), a very bigoted black leader has called for black men to take responsibility for their own lives. what's holding you back?

Also, I firmly believe that NYC police should be better trained to handle life and death situations. We cannot have any more Amadu Dialu's!

It wasn't a matter of color in this situation. The man was armed with the deadliest weapon of all. A vehicle. He ran over a police man, rammed the cops car twice, then tried to get away to cause more damage to innocent lives. This was a justified shooting to end the violence. Color was not a factor in this situation. Stand by the police. They are putting their lives on the line every day and need support not criticism.

I'd just LOVE to see a bunch of you put in the same position that those Officers found themselves in and see how you geniuses react.

This guy had been celebrating his impending wedding in a strip club until 4:00 AM. Anyone want to make any bets on how sober he was?

The Police tried to stop him. One stood in front of his car, identifying himself as a Police Officer and holding his badge up to ID himself, and this bozo runs him over, apparently deliberately.

Then he crashes his car into an unmaked Police mini van, then backs up and does it again.

ALL THIS TOOK PLACE BEFORE ANY SHOTS WERE FIRED

You geniuses have all come up with your favorite little predjudices but you left out a few facts:

3 OF THE OFFICERS INVOLVED ARE BLACK AND ONE IS HISPANIC.

OOPS, there goes the bigot Cop excuse.

You Kool Aid drinkers really need to find out all the facts before you jump to judgement.

I read of the five cops involved 2 were white, 2 were black and one latino, so racism dosen't seem to play a part here.
51 shots fired seems excessive, and needs to be investigated.

Hmm, I haven't heard about this yet, I'd be interested to know the facts surrounding it. I do not believe that cops enjoy killing anyone. I think they make snap decisions that, unfortunately, sometimes are based on prejudices. But they have a high stress job, they get shot at and in order to avoid being shot, they have to make snap decisions. I don't believe they look for minorities to shoot and I don't believe they enjoy it.
