America's biggest problem is itself. We are the greatest nation, yet we can not move forward. When you have people being killed just for being black. When you have people who are intolerant and bigoted, you can never move forward. when will the racial intolerance end. We are considered to be the melting pot of the world, yet we are not melting together. Black people do have it the worst, they were forced to come, loose their identity and help build this nation yet they get no respect for it. America looks down at them because of the dirty secret everyone knows, that America was built by the horrible act of slavery, and it is still going on in today's society. when people are shot, dragged, crosses burnt in yards, slurs being yelled, looked down upon. Not all black people are on welfare, drugs or in gangs. not all immigrants are illegal. We have to embrace the past, apologize and move forward. If it was not for black people we would not have heart surgery, stop lights, or many other wonderful advances we have made. We were all created in the image of God. we are all the same, we all breathe the same, love the same, yet because we have diffrent color skin, that for some reason divides us as a nation. America needs to open her eyes, and change from high up the chain all the way to the bottom.

That we have become a bunch of weak, fragile, spineless, intellectually lazy sheep who allow ourselves to be manipulated through fear and sappy emotionalism. We have come to believe that others have a responsibility to "protect" us from even the slightest discomfort and believe that we are owed some sort of compensation for every inconvenience or perceived slight. In short, we have lost our individual and collective guts.

Complacency. We have so much excess that we lack the collective drive to fix anything. We have statues as opposed to fluid institutions and individuals. Because of this we have lingering issues of partisan politics, environmental issues, classism and racism.
