All the news stations except FOX have been telling us over the last 4 years that the war in Iraq has been going poorly-The Bush adm. along with FOX-have been holding their ground saying the media has just been reporting bad news. It appears it is a mess over there-the media as a whole have been right-and the Bush (it appears) has been lying. Americans want the truth good or bad.Only Sean Hannity insists thing are going well in Iraq,

I don't get involved in politics because even if I get upset over it, it still goes on. I just send some love to Bush and the rest of the people in the war because they all need a bit of positive energy. And the media need a lot of positive love.

funny, but i seem to remember from the very beginning hearing from the president's own lips that this would be a long and difficult war. it has proven to be just that. we are at war here, folks. even when a war is going as well as it possibly can, it's still going to suck somewhat, because it's WAR. people fight, and people die, and all sorts of awful things happen. did you really think we'd blow up a few buildings and all the bad guys would come out with their hands up? if so, then you've been watching too many army movies, because that's not the way it works. i'd also like to point out that almost all the papers and news programs get their information from just a couple of sources, so of course they are all reporting the same thing. so if you feel lied to, you don't have to look too far to see where the lies are coming from. all the soldiers i talk to have told me not to believe all the negative things that are in the news about how things are going over there. i have a bit more reason to trust in what they tell me as opposed to what the mainstream media fatcats repeat in order to keep the checks coming. so, in short, no. i do not feel lied to. at least not by the people i actually listen to.

I don't "feel" I've been lied to, I *know* I've been lied to.
Another example: by every definition used by news organizations, the UN, and even the US for the past 100 years, Iraq is in a state of civil war. All the major US news organizations (and many at the UN) this week finally decided to call a spade a spade, and are now officially saying Iraq is in a state of civil war. Bush, however, denies that they are -- despite the conflict there meeting the definition of "civil war" that this country has used for nearly 100 years. So there are only two choices: he's flat-out lying, or he's too stupid to know what words mean. He's awfully stupid, but not *that* stupid -- which only leaves lying. AGAIN.

no. At least not intentionally. when you have news being reported (and flatly accepted by the mainstream media) by Arab stringers who fabricate stories...like the six sunnis burned alive...and photographs like the famed "green helmet guy" photos... it's hard to tell what the truth is.
