President historians judge and rank presidents according to set of criteria after Presidents leave office. In about 2 years after Dubya Bush, these historians will start evaluating his past performance. He was ranked No. 21 after his 1st term. They will be shocked at the humungous screwups in his 2nd term which may easily make the worst ever. And he will have more screwups as he is now in remaining 2 years (the lame period) where he will lose his authority especially if Dems win Congress. This President is really a disaster in the making. Despite all his strong image he tries to project, he must quietly be saying to himself "Will it get any worse?".

They were sent home - though the school sent no one else home. The girls wore beige leotards and nude stockings under white briefs and red capes. They were completely covered.

Superhero Day was part of Long Beach High School's Senior Week.Principal Nicholas Restivo said he knows they weren't naked, but it appeared that way, so he sent them home. He didn't like the way they looked.

Personally I won't have wanted my daughter dressed this way but the girls were completely covered and no stipulations had been put on outfits.

I understand that he was a great football player. As I live in Japan now though I have asked a lot of people if they know who George Best is and they don't. Surely the Beatles or the sex pistols had more impact on the world. They created more revenue and publicised the UK a lot more than a mere football player. So why commemorate him with a 5 pound note?

The Anti-Christian Lawyers Union will sue on behalf of Muslim who is questioned by the airline. That's discrimination. So why hasn't it acted in this case, where a Christian was not allowed to wear a cross on the plane, but Muslims were allowed to wear viels?

There is a muslim cleric who says if women don't wear headscarfs they are inviting rape.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061027/ap_on_re_au_an/australia_muslims

Is this just plain nuts or what? The way some radical fanatical muslims will take this is, let's go looking for women who aren't wearing scarfs and rape them.

OK I admit I don't understand a lot of the muslim culture but I don't think Allah really wants it to happen that way.

i am an editor on my high school newspaper. There are three girls that have pretty much had it out for me since I've been on staff. Recently we had a huge blow out in a meeting. we usually have like a week of layout and they only came to two days of layout, leaving my advisor asking me to pick up the slack. then when i confronted them they turned it around on me. Saying that they would be happy if i was gone. However there are other people on our editing staff who dislike them, but are too shy to say something. Now every time i write an article they wont print it on their pages. But the articles are really good, even the writers from the oregonian think so. My editor in chief is really non confrontational and wont say anything to get my articles printed. what should i do?

Besides sitting in front of the camera and being pretty and eloquent with the lines, where other things do they do?

Or do they simply do nothing else...? (In that case, what easy money for just half an hour to a few hours of rambling the same stuff in a pleasant voice)

I know that they were set by a person or people, and I know that there are charges of murder pending their ID and apprehension.

But I haven't heard *specifically* whether the fires are deemed to result from deliberate arson or from an illegal campfire that went out of control.

Anyone know? I assume the best answer will come from a Californian, but whoever has the scoop, please do tell.

These militias are f'ing up the country, but the media decides to hold the US accountable for the violence instead of the militias. Do they know that if the militias would put down their guns and *gasp* participate in the democratic process, that there wouldn't be a need for violence.

Reasonable answers only. I don't want any idealogical garbage from the left OR the right.

I was on a Delta flight between LA and Salt Lake city (I was thousands of miles from home and flying alone - I'm British) when the aircraft I was on was involved in a near miss collision. I have never been so frightened in all my life, more so when the captain announced that over the tannoy about 30 mins after it occurred. People were all panicking and passing out as the plane went into a virtual nose dive to fly under the aircraft that was flying on the same flight course as us only crossing our path. When we all finally got to Salt Lake we were met by officials from the airline and asked if we needed medical attention due to the stress. Have you been in a dangerous situation yourself?
