Besides sitting in front of the camera and being pretty and eloquent with the lines, where other things do they do?
Or do they simply do nothing else...? (In that case, what easy money for just half an hour to a few hours of rambling the same stuff in a pleasant voice)

They look for stories, edit the ones they already have, meet with other reporters to coordinate the program...

Ya, they have some healthy discussions among themselves on interesting stories....... so that they could build something out of them
And also, they keep track of the events happening around them......so that they can be abreast with the story as soon as it happens.........
Other than that, they must always freshen themselves up to look as attractive and attentive while on TV..
