I know that they were set by a person or people, and I know that there are charges of murder pending their ID and apprehension.

But I haven't heard *specifically* whether the fires are deemed to result from deliberate arson or from an illegal campfire that went out of control.

Anyone know? I assume the best answer will come from a Californian, but whoever has the scoop, please do tell.

Yes, the Palm Springs fire has been determined to have been deliberately set. They haven't caught the arsonist yet, though, and I haven't heard how they came to the arson determination but there is no "maybe" about it. Considering 4 firefighters died as a result of the fire, the arsonist will be charged with murder in addition to arson.

i'd recommend something like 'The Hungry Ghosts' by technique of Anne Berry - set in Hong Kong in particularly cutting-edge situations, the daughter of a British authorities reputable is followed by technique of the ghost of a cushty woman raped and murdered in eastern occupied Hong Kong in 1942. And if you're searching for warfare - then attempt books set in countries which have considered diverse warfare. Like Afghanistan, Iran or Haiti... in case you study the lists we've on the Packabook information superhighway website, that would want that can help you you stumble on something.

Well it WAS set by on purpose (my best guess is probably some stupid teenagers and are now scared to fess up) but James Pence and Tim Bowers saw two young men walking away from it at 1 am when it supposedly started. I live in Hemet, which sucks and i can actually see the fire up in the mountains from my house

I haven't heard but an illegal campfire is probably not arson. Maybe they aren't talking due to ongoing investigation.
