When we use the term "war on terror" we are playing games with words. Unfortunately, it has an impact on the way we think.

"War" is what we fought in WW II, Vietnam and Afghanistan. What we're doing in Iraq was a war, but it had nothing to do with terrorism. Now it's a high-intensity peace-keeping operation. (No disrespect to our soldiers and airmen, who are to be commended.)

By using this misleading term, we exagerate the situation and fool ourselves into taking drastic actions. In order to start thinking in productive ways, we should change the language we use.

How about some different terms, like
-- The struggle for peace and tolerance
-- The campaign to replace fanaticism with education
-- The movement to protect civilians and non-combatants
-- The drive for airborne safety

If you have a suggestion for a better term, do you have any ideas on how to promote its usage?

He RAN to the Betty Ford Center and I know they cannot touch him there, but it's too bad that Dateline didn't get him in one of their stings!! I would have paid to see that!! Politics are getting in the way of the real tragedy here.

Quotes by BUSH :

“In all due respect, you’ve got a beautiful face and everything.”
~ George W. Bush to Brit Hume

Well, you got a pretty face. You got a pretty face. You’re a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott [Press Secretary Scott McClellan] ; Bush to reporter.

Bush used to pour honey and salsa into rectums of his fellow fraternity brothers — “buttholes” as he called them.

“I want to thank my friend, Senator Bill Frist, for joining us today. You’re doing a heck of a job. You cut your teeth here, right? That’s where you started practicing? That’s good. He married a Texas girl, I want you to know. Karyn is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me.”

At his Yale Fraternity, Delta Kappa Epsilon ΔΚΕ, as fraternity president, Bush was in charge of branding initiates by burning them on their bare behinds.

the ex-pm admitted to have a big mouth in reference to his criticism of the current pm ahmed badawi. he really got a classic inverted "c' mouth-- wide, sulky and grumbly.
it cannot be just big-mouth, he is more than that.

i would describe him as a walking time-bomb nearing his end. much like the terrorist, he shoots from anywhere with the effect of the "dirty bomb" without care of who he will be hurting and the fallout he is creating,

because he is not behaving graciously, putting elephant dung mixed with snake shits into his wmouth is noit enough lah. so what is the best remedy for this poor lost soul

piece on CBS? She could've ended her comments with "some may disagree"........ but to call a grieving father's views as repugnant? The only thing repugnant is CBS's intolerance of anyone with Christian views. Had Mr. Rohrbough cited Budda or Mohammed--the word 'repugnant' would've never been used. Comments?

I know this might sounds a bit exagerated but its not:
1. The death tole will rise to hundreds of thousands more people than what it is now, possibly killing you.
EXAMPLE 1: The heat waves, killing thousands of people in Europe were caused by global warming
EXAMPLE 2: The floods that are happening all over the world were also caused by global warming.
EXAMPLE 3: Sea levels will most likely drown sea shore cities such as: Manhattan, florida and other cities on the coast.

2. By 2050, millions of species of plants and animals will be extinct. You will most liekly be alive when that happens!

3. Heat waves, like in Europe will be much more frequent and allot more deadly

4. Droughts and wild fires could burn what's left of the forests on earth

5. Most likley, all ice in the artic will be gone by 2050.
EXAMPLE: One of the largest water sources in the world, the Himalayas, will melt and we will loose 40% of our water, causing severe dehydration and death.

-friend of family Kenneth Chamblace is stuck under a stupid leader- there are 3 regiments placed in his region, and you are supposed to switch them every so often from being at the front line, otherwise they get tired and loss of sleep etc.
the leader of those regiments is not switching them and that makes me extremely angery

It seems to me, before you can actually provide effective national security, you need to know who is inside the country and who is not. Am I right?

**This is not an illegal immigrant bashing question. This is also not a question asking if you want (or don't want) national security either, but feel free to be obnoxious if you want...I encourage it.

I have been following the coverage of the Amish school shooting this past week and want in some way to show some support for their community in their time of grief. To let them know that we are thinking of them and praying for them. If there was a fund or orginazation that was taking up donations to help them rebuild their school house I would like to donate to that cause or any other type of charity that would help them during their time of grief. I know that they are planning to rebuild the school house and possibly tear down the old one and I feel like it is my duty as a human being and a mother to help anyway that I possibly could. When a tragedy like this occurs it is a horrible day for the human race and these families and this community have even out stretched their hand and forgiveness to the family of the shooter which I think is very noble, something that I myslef couldn't do. I would just like to help this peaceful community find peace again.
