He RAN to the Betty Ford Center and I know they cannot touch him there, but it's too bad that Dateline didn't get him in one of their stings!! I would have paid to see that!! Politics are getting in the way of the real tragedy here.

The kid was not 18 when the chats and emails were being sent.I agreewith one of the answers that this may be a ploy by the Dem. Party, but he addmitted to the emails Also, you can be indited for just sending lewd emails or chatting using inappropriate language to minors. Just wait till all these past pages start calling into the hotline they have set up! What a circus it will be then!!

It is just breaking (2:45 PM EST) that the text messages were a page prank because they knew Foley "liked" boys...They were just joking around online and the messages got picked up by Democratic operatives. Won't that be a kick in the head for the Dems if it is proven. Maybe that is why the page hired a lawyer....he knew the prank was about to get busted....hmmmmm?
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely believe Foley is a creep, but I think this may very well backfire on the Dems if it is proven that this "scandal" was a political dirty trick to influence the election.

Apparently, it may prove difficult to arrest Sen. Foley on the allegations against him involving the most recent page. They will have to prove that Foley was actually typing the dialogues that are now openly on the web from previous interactions with pages. The current allegation's IMs/e-mails seem sketchy and have not been proven to be of a sexual nature; perhaps leading up to it. It will be difficult at best.

Rushing to judgment a little bit aren't you. Can we please let the various police units do there investigations before we arrest someone. I understand there are already problems with age of the boys who were wrote to in that they may not have been minors. So I will wait and see if he should be arrested and tried. He did one thing right he resigned because at the very least these messages were sexual harassment and that is if the boys were of age.
