There was a programme on about them the other night. They are recovering, slowly. Still not too happy but where there is life there is hope.

Never heard a thing, but I hear ads on the radio looking for healthy 40+ women to take part in some kind of medical trials...
I don't know if it's the same kind of thing or not, but I can't imagine many queues forming!

I heard on the news that one of them got cancer and was tring to get compensation from the drug company. I am not sure about the others, although I guess not much or it would have made the news.

yes. the worst affected guy. i can't remember his name but his toes back to the balls of his feet had dry gangrene which turned them to almost like stone along with his fingertips. he had his toes hacked off.

i saw some of that program and one of them got a sort of frostbite on his fingertips and feet and is awaiting amputation.

one of them was on the programme "this morning". hes losing his fingers and toes (they have gone black) not sure about the others
