He was only a suspect because of the affair, which he admitted to. There was never any evidence tying him to her death. While she was unaccounted for the police took a hard look at him, but once her remains were discovered authorities determined that the case had the hallmarks of a random act, not a specific targeting of Ms. Levy.

The fact is that the trail is cold. We may never know who killed her or why.

Just because someone is a suspect doesn't mean they committed the crime. There is a little matter of EVIDENCE that is required to convict someone.

Unfortunately, when a case goes cold it tends to get put on the back-burner for all of the cases that are active. It is too bad but it doesn't mean that she has been forgotten.
