I was lessening to a MPR program one morning on my way to work, and was a interview with 2 Muslim girls that I thought was very interesting, and there was the question of the reporter to them" what do you think American people think about you when you go to a reunion, for example for the 4th of July and see you with the scarf covering your head and face?"

And so we have Pope Benedict, quoting a 14th Century Christian Emperor speaking to a Persian scholar on the truths of Christianity and Islam, and speaking about the issue of jihad,( holy war.)

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new," Benedict quotes, "and there you will find things only evil and inhuman such as his command by the sword, the faith he preaches."

humm ...and so the Persian scholar and Muslims live by and under the religion of Muhammad, but also under God.

...and the reaction of modern day Muslims, is that the Pope insulted them.

But George Bush said earlier before the Iraq war, that
"God told [me] that it was okay to invade Iraq"

humm...and so Bush and Christians live by and under the religion of God

so, Bush went straight to the top.

but there was no reaction from the Christians.

But Ithink it is rather insulting to me, to many others that Bush would insult God that way.

As we see US fighting its "war on terror", many of us notice how the president disdains freedom by supporting dictators(e.g. Pakistan),disrespects our values by misrepresenting facts in order lead us into Iraq, and ignores the consequences of American invasions(e.g. humanitarian crisis and never ending killing of children). Mexican police said that the three men subdued Luster outside a
nightclub, put him in an SUV and drove off June 18, 2003. Police stopped
the vehicles soon afterward and took the men into custody.


Chapman and his crew were not authorized to track Luster and take him
into custody in Mexico, Mexican officials said at the time, adding that
bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico.


Judge Jose de Jesus Pineda ordered the three men to stand trial on
charges of unlawful detention and deprivation of freedom, charges which
carry sentences of up to four years in prison.


Pineda granted the men bail -- $1,500 each -- but the three were
supposed to check in regularly with police and get Pineda's permission
before traveling outside the Mexican state of Jalisco.
