He ll we even made movies about how evil it was.
And thousands of people still languish in a limbo, deprived of one of common law's oldest rights, habeas corpus, the right to know why you are imprisoned.
"If you, God forbid, are an innocent Afghan who gets sold down the river by some warlord rival, you can end up at Bagram and you have absolutely no way of clearing your name," said John Sifton of Human Rights Watch in New York. "You can't have a lawyer present evidence, or do anything organized to get yourself out of there."
The U.S. government has contended it can hold detainees until the "war on terror" ends — as it determines.
"I don't think we've gotten to the question of how long," said retired admiral John D. Hutson, former top lawyer for the U.S. Navy. "When we get up to 'forever,' I think it will be tested" in court, he said.
The Navy is planning long-term at Guantanamo. This fall it expects to open a new, $30-million maximum-security wing at its prison complex

I was talking to a military person, not so long ago, and was told of a secret bunker, under Hyde Park, London.

I was told in confidence, so don`t tell anyone..........

Apparently, it has tunnels that link it to Buckingham Palace and Westminister, and is within easy acsess to the so called gentlemans clubs that are situated in Mayfair, which are watering holes for Admirals and Generals and the like.

He told me he was a guard there for a while, and was gobsmacked of the size of it.........

I have been walking around Hyde Park, looking for disguised entrances.....found a few workmans huts and small one room buildings, but they are to far from park lane, to be of any use, if, indeed they were entrances.

Anyone know of other secrets, we should not know about.........

Don't mean to be strange, trying to pin point a time line for a story I am writing, and want it to be true to the event.

We go on about Darfur(Which is tragic) but an even bigger tragedy is being played out in Iraq. Why do we like the people of Darfur better? Why have UN troops not replaced th Americans (Who are not liked over there?) After all the UN is into conflict resolution is it not? What bigger conflict than Iraq?

If you don't have any idea, please resist the urge to give a stupid answer.

I've hearing about natural cures that exists but pharmaceutical companies and other money greedy oragizations wouldn't allow it to market because they would lose money by not being able to sell their products. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060916/ap_on_he_me/sick_teen

I would tell them not to sweat it, I grew up thinking I was on some schedule and now look at me I'm sitting around wasting my time asking yahoo questions... The point being is that it may turn out to be OK for a lot of kids. And you know COLLEGE will still be there for you if you choose that path or the "job world" will be there as well.

The fact is KIDS may have to help "settle in" and such with the new living situation, and really it may be better if some kids took the time off.....

After the Pope's harmless speech many Arab papers incited hatred with tabloid headlines, taking that particular sentence out of the context. Beside the terrorists, who else there is the troublemaker?
