If so would you agree with putting a limit on the number of children a couple could have? Doe's it worry the rate in which the world is increasing?

I'm asking because the world population has gone from about 2 billion to 6 billion in about a century. If the world wants a stop to people suffering in certain parts of the world isn't the job going to be easier if the population increases of these places were stemmed.

China particularly is a country if rapid growth, but this growth is not having a good affect on the country, apart from it's economy!

Sensible answers please!

I thought that Yahoo Q&A was about helping people solve problems and to give advice in a friendly and, helpful way instead we get the same old stuff,idiots accusing people of this or that,asking what to do about Rapists/Paedophiles/ terrorists and god knows what else,I am fed up with Racists chanting rubbish and anti-religous nuts boring everyone.

Apparently the Government results from a recent Poll were well in favour and people were happy to pay up to 180 pounds per annum!!!! Who were these people??...Oh yes that's right, those with an average salary of 50,000 a year. I bet they just took a show of hands in the House of Commons Cafeteria! How can the Government justify the TV license when BBC shows make a fortune in advertising, and they now create whole shows as one big advert? ie. 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' I bet Andrew Llloyd Webber didn't get all those Months of publicity for free!

All I see regarding answers to questions about our involvement in wars and conflict are haughty declarations from fellow Americans --such as "we can do it" "Nuke em nuke 'em" "Blanket 'em" "We're the baddest" The latest was: "our military can take on Iran and N Korea" ....and its all kind of pathetic really...that we need to act like a bunch of big bullies, like on a playground somewhere, when US troops are dying on undefined battlefields everyday in Iraq and Afghanistan.
While we sit here all hyped up talking about how "WE" can do this and how "WE" can do that, when WE are nothing but us....just sitting here writing questions and getting answers and practically salivating when we get a few points.
Its rather easy to talk about what "WE" can do, especially when WEare nowhere near the battlefields or war zones..... So "WE" is a rather presumptious definition..and since it is, maybe we can refer to
WE" as "Our US troops"
and not ourselves.
Because WE're not doing sh+++

Now the US is seeking support to place restrictions on Iran's finances. She refuses to believe Iran's claim that Iran wants to develop nuclear energy.She has brainwashed the US into believing that we have the military strength to support TWO wars. She has brainwashed us into believing that the US will have the support of the international community no matter what she decides, or more specifically that they all back an Iran attack.
We are inundated with news from ALL fronts regarding events in Iraq.....most of them being negative. Just getting tired of all of this talk about war, war war.

When will we learn that these people DO NOT want a westernized defined DEMOCRACY....that they want to live THEIR lives as they please. That if we just stayed the hell out of their business and applied d i p l o m a t i c tactics, we'd be a lot better off.
But...it is too late. At least under the present administration.
Please please.....let the next one get us out of this awful mess.

I am a Christian, demanding an apology for losing the trade towers five years ago. Many years ago, my brother and I went to the trade center on the top of the roof, I will never forget the experience. Last year, I took my own kids, only to see ground 0.
We went to St. Paul's church, and I wanted them to experience the trade towers, like I did, so I told them the story, instead. My three cousins worked in the trade center, they did not get killed because they were not at work the day of explosion. But, many of there coworkers were killed and some jumped out the window. Any Muslims willing to apologize for this??? I'm five year waiting for a 3,000 death suicide attack apology. The Muslims are still fighting a very old war, that some of the people that were killed in 911 were not aware of a war, but now they know the enemy.

Will there be an apology from any people of Muslim faith for offending me everyday, by burning my flag, destroying the towers?
I will be waiting...
