They decided to go to another planet, they heard
Al Gore saying we are in a Global Warming Crisis.
They don't want there space ships getting trapped
by hurricanes, tsaunimis, fires, earthquakes, etc.
They don't have insurance on there flying saucers.

I find all your answers funny (most anyway). I can only add that the aliens are probably still studying us -- if they actually are coming here. There are surely other humanoid beings in the multitudes of galaxies out there. If they can get here I assume it would be through "worm holes" as distances are too vast for most any other form of travel that our scientists have so far looked into. Aliens would have life spans just as we do -- how long, who knows? 500 years each -- that would be great to have a life span like that wouldn't it? It still wouldn't be long enough for space travel as we humans do it. So worm holes are one idea.
Abductions are still being reported, but bigger news is what makes the headlines.

No, it's just that they've been really busy probing the prisoners at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo.
My guess is that once the current administration is out of office, we'll see an uptick in abductions.

They realized that humans are crazy and dumb. Now they only abduct animals. They are also scared that they might abduct a suicide bomber who will blow them up...wait, suicide bombers are rabid animals. Oh well, there goes the spaceship...KABOOM!!!!
